We checked in yesterday. I'm so in love with this place already! We did not get any of the sites we requested. Honestly I was shocked when the CM I spoke with told me we could request specific sites and it would be no problem. But it was a blessing because we love our spot! We are in 547 and we fit nicely! We had asked to be on the outside of the loop across from here. But I'm grateful as can be since we don't have the road business behind us.

Even if it has poured most of today I love it. And the guy across from us has been power washing his rig in the rain.

Glad you made over from your prior spot (was it the KOA in Kissimmee?) to the Fort, dizzy2.

The rain cloud looked BIG all over Florida but starting on Friday it looks like several good days of weather in the 80s.

We were in 554 last time we were there (November 2016) and it was pretty nice. My only real complaint was the 500 Loop CS (which is shared by multiple loops PLUS there is a sign that directs pedestrian traffic into the CS if they needed it). The CS was usually pretty busy. Since our site was 554 and near the entrance/exit, it was actually just as easy for us to go use the CS in the 300 loop which was far less crowded.

It's a beautiful morning today! Indeed it's clearing up. Was up in the wee hours of the morning with pups and saw an Armidillo. Have never seen one before. Looked like an armoured version of possums. Took the dogs on the path to WL ( ok I had a rough time figuring out where it started). Saw many lovely small deer. We have MBYBBQ tonight and we are excited. Bring on the sun.

Went by your site this morning, the rv door was open but no one was outside. Didn't want to knock and disturb anybody, will try again later. Hope you are having a great time. snowmedic

Probably out walking the doggies if it was early. I left the DH home after that and hit MK by myself for opening. He tends to not understand my need to stand and stare and move two feet and stare again

We've loved the Fort so much. Things I over planned, things I should have planned better. We're enjoying our last days and soaking it in.
