Hi! :wave2: Thank you! Yay for your first time at Universal! Are you thinking of doing HHN? Maybe we'll see you there!

Maybe! We're debating HHN right now, I think it might be more my DF's thing than mine lol. I'm very excited for the Harry Potter areas though!

Ok, I am all caught up! :cool1:

And now for some potential September ADR ideas:

Yak and Yeti
Boma (Dinner)
Cape May Cafe (Breakfast)
Beaches and Cream
Le Cellier
Mama Melrose
Frontera Cocina
1900 Park Fare (Breakfast)
Boathouse
D-Luxe Burger
Garden Grill (Breakfast)
Maybe somewhere else in Epcot or on the Boardwalk
These all look great! It is so hard to narrow down ADRs. As soon as I think that I have mine all set, I hear about another great restaurant that I want to try.

Anyway once I got there I managed to make the ROL reservation I wanted, and canceled the others.
I am really excited about ROL! I had hoped that it would be open when we went in October, but of course it wasn’t, so I’m really excited about getting a chance to see it this time. I had considered booking the dining package, but we didn’t really love Tusker House when we went last time and Tiffins looks way too fancy for us. I had hoped that Yak and Yeti would be an option because we really liked that last time, but really I knew that it wouldn’t be, since it is owned by Landry’s. So, we are just going to try to get a fastpass instead.

We're staying at the Wilderness Lodge!
That is a lot of resort switching, but it is so exciting that you are back to staying at the Wilderness Lodge. I’ve heard that it is really nice and it is one of the resorts that we are considering for our next trip. DH and I are planning to visit all of the MK area hotels while we are there this trip, so that we can get a feel for which one we like best. However, visiting and staying there can be totally different, so I can’t wait to hear what you think about it.

I did my taxes by myself for the first time (and it's the first year I claimed myself) so I got back enough to help with repairs, pay some bills, go shopping, and pay for some trip stuff!
Yay for tax refunds! That is basically how we are able to afford to go again this year. We got more back than I had planned, so now we can go to Disney and still make improvements/changes to our house. :woohoo:

We went out for our Valentine's Day dinner last night, and let's just say things didn't go according to plan. So we got to the mall, and we couldn't find the steakhouse anywhere. We kept thinking we walked by it, but that's really not possible. So I asked someone who worked in the store next to where it was....and it's closed...permanently closed.
That is so crazy that they closed and no one notified you, even though you had a reservation through OpenTable! I’m glad it all worked out in the end though.

Also this was a couple weeks ago, but I forgot to post a picture when it happened. I think I mentioned ages ago (possibly in my last PTR not this one) that my sister was playing Ed the hyena in The Lion King at her school. The show was last month and in my (totally unbiased opinion) the hyenas stole the show!
She looks so great!! :jumping1:

As for May FP selections are coming up, and I think I've decided what to pick we've changed our schedule around a bit and I might still be tinkering with it but here's what I have:

All of these plans look great! I’m still moving our schedule around and trying to decide what FP selections I want to make. Well, we actually know which ones we want to make, it’s just a matter of which date and time to select.

I can't wait to read more about your trip!

Christopher's school did the LK last year and it was a great production. They end up doing a Disney play every year, this year is Cinderella :goodvibes

We've been doing a Disney Production every year at my school as well, lately. It was Jungle Book last year. Fir some odd reason, I can't remember what they are doing this year, though.

@Raeven sorry your VDay didn't go as planned. Yay for taxes and refund! I use Tax Act but I do them myself, with help from the program. I always have and now, I itemize so it can be more complicated but I study just do it myself. Because I have kids and pay interest in a house I get back a lot more now than I use to. Good thing, bc that's our Disney money!

Plans look good though I'll assume they aren't final...lol. I hardly ever make significant changes to mine so it's always interesting to see yours.

Hope you get your car money quickly!

I think we salvaged it pretty well though :thumbsup2

I used TurboTax, but it was only simple because I don't own property on anything. The people we went to last year messed up my taxes so I wanted to try doing them myself. It's awesome you've taught yourself how to do yours if I had to answer all those property questions I'd be lost :rotfl:

It's true there's already been a small change since I posted this.

Soon! We finally got the piece of paper asking who to make the check out to but it has to be notarized, and of course my next day off I could do that on isn't until Friday so it should be coming by next week.
I so enjoyed reading your plans to visit WDW. We are coming from California to visit and will be at the Beach Club 7th thru 14th I'm so excited. We arriving in Florida April 29 and staying at the Marriott by DS for 2 nights then going on. A 7 day cruise out of Port Canaveral, then back to WDW.

Yay the Beach Club is so cool! Oh wow a cruise and some Disney that sounds like an amazing trip!

Moral of the story is I can't relate to teens these days so I hope she has a good time!
Haha, I've got a sister that's around 5 years younger than me, and once she got to that she, it was like we were on different planets. It probably didn't help that we were pretty opposite, her being miss popular with a million friends and me being a band geek, pretty stereotypical lol.
So it looks like September is back to being just us! (Which is good because I mostly have ADRs picked out!).
I'm happy for you lol. We did a Disneyland trip last summer with some extended family, and some were OK, but there were a few who drove us up the wall. I'm worried they'll decide to come to our wedding in September and hang out for a week.... It can be hard to travel with people, especially if they seem to need a lot of hand holding
Reading your plans makes me want to start a PTR for our trip to keep everything straight lol!

This weekend I'm taking my sister shopping and to the Cheesecake Factory for her 14th birthday.

Maybe you should adopt me as your sister... I insist on eating at the Cheesecake Factory every time we go to Anaheim (we don't have them in Canada :sad2:)

but when she became a teen last year suddenly I went from being the coolest person on the planet to someone who didn't know what was "cool" :rotfl:

Haha, because you're so old yourself... I get it though, I have a lot of younger cousins who thought I was super cool growing up...

We decided on DS, and having dinner at Homecoming.

Yum! I can't wait to get back there!

I'd prefer they didn't come in September so we could keep things more relaxed instead of showing around people who were basically going for the first time

This is one of my fears about our trip - on one hand, I'm really excited about introducing our friends and family to Disney, but on the other hand - I'm taking as many as 18 people who have never been there before o_O

we're going back for a weekend in December!

Yay! So exciting :)

LOL!! I understand you with little sisters. I'm the oldest of 5 and they can be a different creature. Especially since my youngest sister is 15 years younger than me. So, by the time she was a teenager I hadn't been one for a long time. LOL!!

Sorry about your car. It can be annoying when you are waiting for the money to get it fixed.

I'm also glad that you don't have to make changes to your plans to include the other 2 people. It's hard enough planning for the people you originally started with. Then, you have to turn around and start all over again. UGH!! LOL!!

I do love introducing people to Disney, but it can be frustrating at times.

Yay for going back in December.

I just want to let you all know I was able to book Trattoria Al Forno's character breakfast for 10 am on May 11th!

:jumping1:

I'm glad I did it at 6 am because it sounds like there's been a lot of problems booking since, but we got it! You can now see Josh and Flynn smoldering together :rotfl:

Southwest also released flights for September today, and they were a great deal! But I'll talk about that in my next update.

#BusyMorning
Let me know how it is. I'm considering it for our trip in September.

I would love to fly, but for us it really is cheaper to drive. Especially since we are staying at Universal for the first part of our trip. We will need a car to get from Universal to Disney. Plus we love driving to the different parks sometimes. Not only that, but the nearest airport that Southwest flies out of is nearly 3 hours away. So it's not exactly feasible for us to fly. We'd have to park our car at the airport. It's just all around easier for us to drive.

I hope she'll like it. Maybe some of you that are parents on here can relate, but when she became a teen last year suddenly I went from being the coolest person on the planet to someone who didn't know what was "cool" :rotfl:

I bet she'll love it! Although I'm not a parent :cutie: I can totally relate to the 'not being cool' anymore- my nephews are 13 AND 15... they love DH still, but aren't really sure what to do with their 'cool' aunt that is me! haha!! I'm not old enough to be their mom (I was 14/16 when they were born... so I guess its possible.. but I digress) but also not cool enough to hang out with. haha!

I'll be back later to catch up on the rest!
