Was listening to Connecting with Walt and I have to say I love it when Michael says "archi-texture" instead of "architecture". Archi-texture is not a word but I think it should be, especially in a Disney context!

Keep up the good work guys!

This actually drives me crazy. But I let it go because I enjoy the content of the show.

Sorry, DLgal. You and my poor Disney vocal coach must get together for a drink. I've always suspected my coach retired in despair and took to the bottle after working with me to speak with an American accent at the request of the Mouse. I never quite got it right and still struggle with vowel blends and the pronunciation of many words. I do appreciate your patience and am happy to know you enjoy the content I share.

No worries Michael! I grew up with a mom who has struggled with many pronunciations ofwords in the English language due to English being her second language.

LOVE the show though, keep up the good work. Very enjoyable to listen to during my workouts!

Well, despite your absolutely awful pronouncinating and inability to speak the language goodly, I just want to again reiterate how great Connecting with Walt is. It's essential listening for any WDW fan. Maybe the best Disney history podcast series available.

I loved your inclusion of several of the hidden jokes and tributes in Skipper's Canteen during the Adventureland episode. I got a tour of the place (an amazing experience) and this helped me remember many of the things I learned on the tour that I otherwise would have completely forgotten about.

If you could continue to include details, hidden jokes, and tributes from various attractions/restaurants/resorts in future episodes that would be awesome.

Keep up the incredible work. Thank you!

You remind me of my Irish geology prof. The accent is just apart of the charm.

I'm amazed (in a good way!) they got a vocal coach for you. That's pretty awesome! I never really thought about how much went into the Mickey Mouse Club. Thank you for this insight into the television world.

All of the Disneyland podcast crew have unique accents and I love them all. I'm fascinated by voices and dialects.
I had no idea you had a Disney vocal coach, Michael. A story for another time? (Or perhaps I missed it?)

Michael actually did talk about it in an episode. It was when he became a member of the Mickey Mouse Club as a child and he had a British accent they were trying to eliminate. :thumbsup2 If I recall correctly, he even remembers seeing and/or speaking with Walt Disney when they were filming, albeit Michael must have been very young.

I know it was a different time, but I would _never_ eliminate a British accent!! :)

I will say, listening to the first set of Connecting with Walt, the only pronunciation difference I thought was weird for a second was when you pronounced "August", @Merry Mousketeer, as in August Busch - but that's only because no one in St. Louis that I know has ever referred to him as August. It's always been Augie! :) (And I really wish they'd have put something in St. Louis - it would have made for much more fun growing up! :))
