Three days in Epcot?

Sorry, I don't understand. I'm going before Pandora opens, so that's not an issue. But do you mean plan the days based on the hardest to get fastpasses?

Choose your fast passes for you tenth day based on what may be hard to get or you really want example - frozen at Epcot, sdmt at MK etc

On our last trip we planned Epcot and made it for frozen but managed to ride it on a previous day, and since we had visited all the parks, our group voted to change to AK so we changed those fastspasses to theire

Good idea about going over to the Boardwalk. 5 days at MK and 4 at Epcot! I guess my plan of 3 and 3 doesn't sound like too much now. I haven't been since I was a kid, but even as a kid I could spend countless hours there. I hope my family likes it as much as I know I will. I've talked it up to my kids and they are very excited to visit all the countries and talk to the cast members that are from those countries.

When we first went to Disney, DS was only 4, so everything lead to wide eyed wonder for him. DD was 13, and no matter what I told her about World Showcase, no matter the video of photos I showed her, she was certain she would hate it. Fast forward, DD is 22 now, EPCOT is perhaps her favorite park :) DS went through a time of not really liking it, but he is coming around now lol.

Could easily spend 3 days at Epcot if you're doing 10 days in total. That way, each day you can FP one of the big 3 (FEA, Soarin', TT). We would be hard pressed to spend 2 days at HS though. Even though we are big Star Wars fans, there just isn't enough to do there for 2 days. For us, we would probably do 4-5 MK, 2 AK, 1 HS and 2-3 Epcot.

We end every day at Epcot so we are fans. To the OP - I would suggest doing the Kidspot stations around the World Showcase and from my son's and daughter-in-law's experience with a then five year old, you shouldn't try and do those all in one day as you will be concentrating on the kids' stuff and miss being able to look around the countries from an adult perspective. I would also suggest that you do Future World and World Showcase each day to break up the "concentration" of one over the other. So you could do a couple of FastPasses in Future World and then do a movie in World Showcase and several Kidspot stations later in the day. Repeat on the second day and then fill in the rest on the third day. Relaxing enough.

Also agree with being able to go out to the Boardwalk area for food (we happen to like the pizza window) and a diversion. You can also walk over to Fantasia miniature golf if the older kids are up for it.

We love EPCOT and always go at least three times, sometimes more if we have hoppers. You'll enjoy it more if you go at a slow pace and really pay attention to all the details.

If you haven't been to Epcot since a kid, you may be surprised with Future World and the current state of attractions.

This is so true. EP was also my favorite park. I was bored at MK (!) and didn't like it at all. Today, EP feels run down and so much more could be done in Future World.

Agree with both of these - Innoventions East has one exhibit, Colortopia; Innoventions West has meet and greets. Spaceship Earth does have some fun, science-y activities after the ride, and TT has some interactive elements afterwards as well. But gone are the days of the educational/imaginative playgrounds.

Another fun thing to do at Epcot that can easily eat up an afternoon is doing the Agent P missions. It really helps the kids notice little details and explore the country pavilions.

Another vote for yes, we could definitely spend 3 days at EPCOT-we did 2.5 days on our last trip of 7 days and it was great. As others have said, there's so much to see in both WS and FW. We love having plenty of time to spend taking it all in-we can spend hours just looking at the amazing giant aquarium!

I love Epcot and could easily spend a part of 3 or even 4 different days there. Yes, it could use a major update and isn't what I remember from my trips in the '80s, but it is still fun for us. Our last trip in early March, we stayed at BC and only went to Epcot and HS (we did 4 days at MK in December). We thoroughly enjoy walking the World Showcase, but DS (4.5) doesn't love it yet. He did enjoy the Eggstravaganza hunt this time around, which helped hold his interest while we explored the food booths. I'm optimistic that his interest will grow when he's a little older. Our plan on Epcot days was Future World for a few attractions first thing in the morning, then a World Showcase stroll shortly after 11:00AM, then back to BC for midday break, with a return to Epcot for another round of Future World attractions and a second World Showcase stroll. The Flower and Garden topiaries added an another unique element and we definitely didn't get bored. But, we also paced ourselves and had the luxury of a quick walk back to the resort when we needed the break.

Yes, we have. We go for 4 at MK, 3 each at Epcot, DHS and ASK and one at a water park. We spend one Epcot day focusing on Future World, one on strolling round World Showcase and one revisiting anything we want to do again.:)

If you are planning downtime like swimming, naps, long meals, and want to do everything at EPCOT, 3 days is not too much. We did 3 days on one of our previous trips because we kept feeling we never have enough time there. We would do 9-11 at Future World each day as we made our way to world showcase. We then spent as much time as necessary to see each country. We explored the country, its' movie or live show (like the acrobats in China), saw the corresponding characters, ate a sitdown meal each day, and shopped. We did different countries each day. It was the first trip we did everything at EPCOT (except any rides we weren't interested in at FW).

I would do three days at AK before I did 3 at Epcot. We spend two full days there each trip and we still haven't seen everything. If you kid likes animals as a part of his love of science there is so much to see there.

My kids love walking the trails and learning at all the different stations.

Definitely depends on what your interest is. We just spent 6 hours at AK and were easily tapped out on things to do. Ended up going to DS for shopping/dinner once the buses started at 4pm. This has been our past experience with AK also.

We usually do 2 days at EPCOT and could easily add a third, but we only come for a week.

If you LOVE animals and the Dinoland, AK is probably awesome. If you just like animals and don't care for the carnival style rides at Dinoland, it won't keep you busy. Same goes for EPCOT, if you love the rides, Future World, Science and History/Travel, you will have plenty to fill your days. If not, then you'll be bored after a day.

Do what is best for your family. :)

I've done 2 days at Epcot but never 3. I would use that one extra day for Disney Springs, but if you're taking it real slow, you could do 3 days at Epcot

It really does seem to be up to personal preference. I'm sad to hear that Epcot might not be as great as I remember as a kid. I remember it as the best science centre I ever went to. I think I'll ultimately play it by ear. I'll leave the last day of our trip open. For our family, I think we could do 3 days in Epcot, but maybe we'll zip through in 2. It's nice to have the flexibility!

Epcot is our favorite park. Last time we went, we did three days at MK and two days at Epcot, but that was only because MVMCP made us leave early.

On our next trip, we may just do two days at MK and three at Epcot.

I do wish they would bring in more science/futuristic exhibits and attractions at Future World. Its a sad shell of what it COULD be.

We scope our vacations as follows:

.5-1 Full Day in AK
1-1.5 Full Days in MK
Rest of Vacation in Epcot
Disney Springs some evenings, other evenings at various Resorts

This trip we're going for 7 nights and have more than 3 full days of time spread out across 5 days

Every time we've gone in the past 5 years there's been some sort of food fest going on and we like to visit most if not all booths which can take multiple days to visit them all.

We love Epcot but 3 days with young kids is probably too much. If you had a group of folks who would enjoy spending time exploring WS visiting the pavilions, maybe eating & drinking at various stops and watching all the movies that would be great, but I think children would quickly become bored.

A full day at FW East & West? As fun as it is I can't see it. The only possible reason for visiting FW for more than one day would be to obtain FP for Soarin' or TT.
I could see 2 half-days in FW with some swimming/water park/resort time in the other half.

We still enjoy Epcot but FW is in need of some serious TLC. Once you've done SE/TT/Soarin' you've put a major dent in what it has to offer.

We always go for 10 days and spend 3 at Epcot. We love it. We usually end up with 1.5 days at AK and 1.5 days at DHS and 4 days at MK (3 full and 2 half days). With 10 days, our goal is not doing everything once, but doing our favorite things as much as we want. Some things we do once, some things we do all 3 days. We do Future World and World Showcase all 3 days. I'm not sure there is enough in FW to spend an entire day there. We usually take one day to go to all the countries, but we still visit some of the countries on the other 2 days we are there. We have 4 kids and have been there with them at almost every age- 6 months, 2 years, 3 years, 4 years, 5 years, 6 years, 8 years, 10 years, 12 years and 14 years so far. They all love Epcot- there is plenty to do and see and have fun no matter the age.

We love Epcot and the Kidcot stations and scavenger hunt games are really fun. Things have changed a lot in Future World but The Seas is awesome. I think you could have 3 great casual days there. FYI the breakfast at Akersaus is wonderful and of course FEA sounds great.

We have spent 3 days at Epcot many times during past trips. There may not be as many rides as the other parks, but there is much to explore and many restaurants to try. I really hate rushing through the World Showcase. It is so nice to have the extra days to take a leisurely stroll and enjoy the atmosphere and scenery.

It seems like people really love Epcot or aren't that into it. I think Epcot, more than almost any other park, is the best one to be leisurely, eat and drink very well, and meet very interesting people. The majority of cast members in world showcase are international, and in my experience are really awesome to talk to. i ha a great conversation with a Japanese cast member who thought I was absolutely nuts for never seeing My Neighbor Totoro, and in Italy debated the finer points of the perfect ravioli.

Everywhere in Disney is amazing, but I've had the most authentic experiences at Epcot, to the point where it's not really "theme park" stuff, but just really memorable human interactions. I could easily spend three days or more there.

I will say that we generally breeze through future world. The Coca Cola from around the world is pretty tops though!
