So you're saying there's not as much walking in the regular rooms to the food court at Pop? I have studied the maps, but it's hard to gauge when I've never stayed there. We loved our room at ASMu, but it was a regular room ALLLLL the way at the back. Made for a long walk bringing breakfast back to the room! ;)

There are a few buildings that are further out. One in the 50s and the 80s and the 90s. If you check out the POP thread it will give you some good ideas of where to request. They moved us quickly when we had an issue
 
Quick Question: How long does it usually take MDE to update? I changed my reservation to get FD early this morning, and received a confirmation email with the updated details. Yet when I look in MDE, it is still showing my original plans with no FD. Is there typically a delay in updating MDE? I didn't use a TA and modified my reservation online. Just want to make sure that the change "stuck".
 
Wish I had been wrong about the quick service at the moderates. That was a low blow this year.
Yes it really was. The difference between staying at Pop with an upgraded DDP and POR with an upgraded dining plan is $1000. I have POR with the summer expedition offer and Canadian residents ticket offer (with DDP) for $150 less than free dining gets me.....that hurts! I have to think carefully now if the upgrade to moderate is worth it.....
 
Perhaps I missed this conversation...but the 2 snack credits? Is that a bone Disney decided to throw so people would not be too upset about the switch to quick service?...or was that the way it has been and I am having amnesia?
 


Was able to go online today and switch my reservation to a room-only at AKL 11/12-11/14 and a package with free dining at AKL from 11/14-11/18. so excited!!

We're prepared for the inconvenience of no FP+ in advance for the first two days, but I've never done a split stay before. What are the chances that we'll get to stay in the same room for the full trip?

I had same issue and it took about 4 hours to update. If you have confirmation e-mail then you are good.
 


Even now, when I try to just book a regular package with no discount I get "At least two or more attending guests have the same name. Guests must have unique names." I can't believe only one other person had this issue . . . I'm beginning to take it as an omen. :confused: It looks like if I'm going to book anything at all I'm going to have to call and get the issue with my F&F list resolved.
 
i just called Disney visa directly and they gave me another out of service number. I'm going to scream! does anyone have a valid number for Disney visa? I have been trying for over 2 hours to call the main line for Disney.

It can take up to 24 hours. Sometimes an overnight refresh of the system is required.

I just booked a room-only, a free dining package (back to back) and then, once confirmed, cancelled my initial reservation for the full week online, all in about 15 minutes.
 
*sigh*

$1971 is RO with dining.
$2115 is rack rate with "free dining".

BOTH have 2 meals and 2 snacks per day.

"FREE" dining is $144 more that RO with dining.

I want to stay at the Poly. 11 nights, 5 adults (not really but that is what Disney calls them anyway.) My 11 nights with 2 day PH (we have AP) would cost $7000. Granted, I will have $1380 in tickets towards upgrading to my next set of AP ($2977.) So when I back the $1380 out of $7000, my room is $5620 with DDP.

Instead, I have CBR for $3900. Again, I have $1380 toward AP upgrades. I also have $825 in gift cards. So that room with QSDP for the 5 adults cost $1695. That gives me 110 QS and 110 snack credits. I used my DVC points and my Poly studio is costing me $1150. So for $2845 I am staying at the Poly with QSDP. Techinically we won't even be walking in the door at CBR although I could cancel my weekend at the Poly and turn those points into a 4 night stay in Vero and stay at CBR for those few days when we are going to Universal.

Sounds like the server may not be accepting the information.

Do you have an email confirming the change?
You could also login using a different browser and see if your reservation is updated - - -
or go to your credit card website and check for a pending charge......
or call Disney.
