How easy it to exchange into a Disney Vacation Club resort via the Registry Collection?

I own a week at a timeshare that is affiliated with the Registry Collection TRC). As you know, TRC and RCI are closely related companies.

The question is whether a timeshare week has an easier time exchanging into a DVC resort (affiliated to RCI) if it is affiliated to TRC as opposed to RCI?

I don't know, I've never seen the question come up from one who owns in the registry collection. For most of those properties I'd wonder if it was worth giving up. I also only recall one who's reported they exchanged through it for DVC. You might try on the Timeshare Users Group and talk to the Registry Collection people. Technically the inventory should be separate thus only DVC resorts that are traded through the registry collection should be available and vice versa but sometimes there is a cross over to the rest of RCI that may help you. Right now DVC is only giving RCI 1 BR villas at the lower end resorts of SSR, AKV & OKW mostly SSR. With BVTC (DVC's exchange company) when it was functional they had a give and take since someone has to go first. They'd let one side (DVC or either Club Cordial or Club Intrawest) exchange then the other but if it got one sided, they'd stop that side from exchanging until the other caught up. The website is down right now so I can't check for any subtle info there right now. It is my understanding that the Registry collection lists availability on their website updated daily but not real time, that may help you. Please report back what you find out since there really has been little discussion on this issue.

I have not got much information or replies to the question.

Let us put it another way; for those DVC owners who want to exchange, and how often do they try to exchange, and how often are the exchange requests successful? - either through RCI or via the Registry Collection. I am trying to get an idea how useful is the Registry Collection for any timeshare owners - whether DVC owners or non-DVC owners.

From a DVC standpoint that's easy, it's so expensive that the chances of success are irrelevant IMO but it's possible there might be that one specific option that works out. For RCI it's hit or miss but for the most part the items are overly costly and there are no guarantees. Completing an exchange also adds significant risk if on has to change later. Timeshare exchanges in general work best for those in the middle of the market and almost never for those at the top like DVC or other top timeshares. This threads may help some https://www.disboards.com/threads/dvc-exchange-statistics-for-1998-2013-info.413575/ but they no longer publish the data for RCI instead using the RCI points audit which is for RCI's overall system.
