This is my first ever pre trip report! I hope that I will be formatting it correctly!

With our DSs grown adults now and not so much interested in vacationing with us lately, my DH and I are thrilled to be taking our 18 year old great-niece Ali to WDW for the first time!!! She's not deprived by any means; her parents take her on countless cruises and other vacations, including Universal Orlando. Her mother, my niece, just doesn't like Disney *anything*. How can we be related?! Anyway, her awesome daughter more than makes up for it!!!
Ali loves EVERYTHING Disney!! :cheer2::tigger::mickeyjum:goofy::dumbo::donald::simba:

So our group is only 3 adults:

We're staying in a Lagoon View Club Level room at the Polynesian for a week. We love club level at the Polynesian. It's our home away from home. :sunny:

Day 1:
We'll be arriving on August 24th, in the afternoon. The plan is to relax at the resort, get settled into our room, have dinner at the Kona Café, and watch the Electric Water Pageant from our balcony (if we get a decent view), or from the beach. Same thing with watching the fireworks that first night. Maybe swim in the lava pool while watching the fireworks. We have to keep reminding ourselves that this will all be brand new to our great-niece! She's going to love exploring the grounds of the resort. :flower:

Plans for Day 2 coming up next! :surfweb:

It's always fun to take a first-timer! Sounds like your trip will overlap ours a little. It will be fun to hear the plan. We (online Disney fan buddy and I) are taking a quick trip to a wedding and staying a couple of days to make time for WDW. 8/25-8/28

Can't wait for your day two!

Day 2:

We’re planning on having breakfast in the club lounge AKA The King Kamehameha Club

Then we’ll take the monorail over to the Magic Kingdom (I’ll be in an electric scooter, so won’t be able to use the small resort launch that continuously runs between the Polynesian, the Magic Kingdom, and the Grand Floridian.

Our first FP+ is for Buzz Lightyear @ 9:45am

Then the Little Mermaid is at 11:05am, which will then lead us to lunch at Be Our Guest for our 11:35am lunch.

This will be Ali’s very first time ever in the Magic Kingdom, and we plan to take our time to allow her to take it all in.

After lunch, our final FP+ is for Mickey’s Philharmagic. This is one of my favorites! :smickey:

The next 4+ hours of our time in the MK will be doing the “Ultimate Disney Classics VIP Tour”!! Ali is going to be so surprised! :yay: She’s been telling me that she's really looking forward to going on all of the rides such as Dumbo, the Carousel, it’s a small world, etc. Here’s the description of the tour, from the WDW web page:

VIP Access to the Magic
Your Disney VIP Tour Guides will lead the way as you and fellow Guests savor iconic Magic Kingdom park experiences!

Receive VIP Treatment
When you go on an Ultimate Classics VIP Tour, your Guide will attend to every detail as they plan your itinerary for you. They’ll do everything they can to make your visit as hassle-free as possible—so you can relax, unwind and enjoy every moment of your visit.

Best of all, with special access to select attractions, you can spend less time waiting—and more time experiencing the magic firsthand.

Delight in Classic Attractions
During this tour, you’ll receive special access to up to 10 classic attractions at Magic Kingdom park, which may include:

There are no height restrictions for the attractions and entertainment featured on this tour, so it’s great for kids of all ages.

This tour will include so many rides and attractions that we won’t have to worry about making sure that we hit every single one of these rides just right, crowd-wise, or use a FP+ for.

The tour starts at 1:30pm and lasts about 4 hours. We’ll be meeting our tour guide at around 1:15pm before we get started. It’s been such a long time that my husband and I have been on some of these rides that we’ll get as much fun out of this tour as Ali will!

The tour will end around 5:30pm so then we’ll head back to the Polynesian, just a short monorail ride away, and clean up for our 8pm dinner at the Grand Floridian Café. After dinner, we can swim at our resort or explore the other 2 monorail resorts. Or… go back to our room and pass out for the night! :faint: LOL

Day 3:

This morning we’ll be starting the day at my favorite breakfast place in all WDW – The Kona Café! I will be ordering the Pineapple Macadamia Pancakes AKA Heaven On A Plate!! :cloud9: Oh, and can’t forget the 100% Kona coffee brewed in a French press. Mmmm!

From there we’ll take the monorail to the TTC then get on the Epcot monorail. Our first FP+ is The Seas with Nemo & Friends. Then Soarin’. Looking forward to the new “Around the World version”. I think it started shortly after our trip in 2015.

Lunch will be at the Garden Grill. I figured that a character meal would good at this point in the trip. After lunch, we have a FP+ for Living with the Land. I tried to get this FP+ for before our meal so that Ali could see the front side of the farm house first, but it’ll be fine this way; she’ll get to see the inside, first. Lol

I don’t have anything scheduled or planned for after lunch other than Living with the Land, so we’ll decide at the time what we want to do; continue exploring Epcot (we’ll be back a couple of more times!), or swim at the Polynesian, or hop to another park. I’ve purposely left blocks of time open for spur of the moment decisions.

No set dinner ADR yet, but I’ve booked the Tomorrowland Terrace Fireworks Dessert Party for that night at the Magic Kingdom. :yay: I’m looking forward to seeing the new fireworks show. pixiedust:
