Moonlight Magic for Epcot?

I was SO excited to see this being offered. My sister and I take a trip together for our birthdays every Dec.(We're twins) This year we arrive on Dec 10th and Dec 11th , the Moonlight Magic is on our birthday, Dec 11. I have been "stalking" the DVC web site twice a day for information on the event.I do know we need to be registered. We are staying at Boardwalk so I am hoping we can just walk over that night. I have not been to one of these before and would love any info from anyone who has been to one of these. Thanks in advance for the info. COUNTING the days!!
We will be at BWV during this week too! I'll keep my eye out for the twins!! :)

We will be getting off the Disney Dream on 12/11 so we are thinking about making a reservation at SS to go to this DVC party. Sounds like it will be lots of fun.
If you haven't already done so, I would book the room at SSR now. The Studios are already booked up. There is only 1, 2 and 3 BR available as of this morning.

I too want to do this event...
So often special DVC events are the luck of the draw: you have to happen to already be planning to be at The World. Well. This time we are!!

Can't wait!!

Same here. We were lucky when they did the first one at MK and now we'll be there for this one too.

Hoping to get tickets to the event on the 11th as we already happened to be booked to be there at the time. Looking forward to seeing what these events are like!

I am hoping for December 4th. We have attended the Moonlight Magic events at Typhoon Lagoon and Animal Kingdom and enjoyed them.

It will be interesting to see how the handle the event logistically. Although Epcot is a big park, there aren't a lot of popular attractions to draw guests. Innoventions is already gone. Seems like a waste to keep things like Imagination and Ellen's open for a special event since there are never any waits and there's little guest interest. And how will they handle the World Showcase? Keeping every pavilion accessible seems like overkill, yet they are a big part of Epcot's popularity.

If they allow 15,000 members into the event--and those members end up largely split between Soarin, Test Track and Norway--there will still be long lines.

The Animal Kingdom events are already sold out...just 24 hours after they opened to non resort guests.

I'm wondering the same thing, there doesn't seem to be enough to do. And Norway....with it now being listed as a wet ride, I doubt we would want to chance it at 10 pm in Dec. I so wish we could have gone to a MK one.

I got an email last night. Reservations start on October 24th if you have a DVC reservation!

Reservations for the Nov. 15 event at Disneyland Park are scheduled to begin on Oct. 4.

The booking process for Dec. 4 and 11 Epcot events is scheduled to begin on Oct. 24 for those with a Disney Vacation Club Resort reservation on their chosen party date, and on Nov. 7(pending availability) for those without resort reservations.

This information is in an email I got yesterday ! I am glad they sent out the information! We want to go on December 4.

I hope the rumor becomes true! I can see how the pin makes us hopeful!:santa:

Thanks for posting this. I didn't get the e-mail. We're at BWV Dec 4 so it fits in perfectly with our plan

We didn't get an email either. Is there any info yet on the event details or do we just wing it?

Doesn't seem like DVD/DVC is serious about these events or they would provide more information.

No additional information, just the booking dates. They haven't even updated the event details page to include the booking dates.

I got an email last night too. The only problem is we're not staying on points for our December trip so I'm hoping there's a lot of capacity and I can get us in on November 7th for the December 11th event.
