Shop, attraction or food service?

My worst fear during this time of the year. I hit one on Hwy. 6 late one evening coming back from College Station and Christmas shopping...and this was BEFORE cell phones! :scared: :rotfl: Just damaged the front passenger side of the car and I managed to "limp" home. Was without the car for 3 weeks while it was repaired. I now drive a LOT slower through wooded areas (tick a lot of other drivers off :rolleyes1) but that scared the hell out of me. So sorry about your experience  and your poor car. Now you "get" to shop for a new vehicle. I absolutely HATE car shopping :headache:...good luck! Glad y'all were uninjured though...could have been worse if that sucker had gone through the windshield! :tink:

I was thinking, what did people do without cell phones!!!! I called AAA and they called a tow truck and the tow truck called the police. I was going 55 so I'm so glad it wasn't worse. At least I wasn't speeding or on my cell phone or messing with radio. I had one of my students with me and I'm so glad she wasn't hurt! The worst part was watching that poor deer struggling to get back in the road. So glad that hunter stopped and killed her, poor thing. He said he had been hunting and hadn't gotten anything and had 6 girls at home to feed. So she went to a good cause. But it was SO sad to watch!

Mouse Gears? :tink:

This is a shirt that is for sale, in Epcot. It is not from an attraction. It is not from Mouse Gears.

FW or WS? Is it associated with a special event or available all year?

The mushrooms make me think of Flower & Garden Festival. Maybe from a booth in the Festival Center building.

I was in a total panic when I hit the deer. I had a choice...hit the deer or veer into adjoining lane and cause a 4-5 vehicle accident. Traffic was heavy...it was in a 60 mph zone but car directly on my left and one TAILGATING me :furious:. Being later in the evening on a heavily traveled road I feared for my personal safety if I had stopped so drove to the nearest town's police department and reported the "downed deer". I'd have given anything to have had a cell phone at the time. Poor deer but lucky for you help arrived quickly in the form of the hunter and the meat could be saved for the family. I may be from Texas but I'm NOT a "hunter"...couldn't stand to kill one of those beautiful deer. On the other hand, I have many female friends who LOVE hunting season. :faint: Redstorm's even hunted; she "gave it up" when her Dad kept getting her up at 4:30 in the morning to get to the deer stand! ;) That "cured" her ::yes::. I'm really surprised, living in a mountain area, that you haven't hit a deer before. It happens SO often around here. I've even seen deer on our city streets! Hard thing to deal with but a "necessary evil" living where you do. :tink:

:goodvibes: Nope it's not from the Emporium.

I hit a deer on the way to my dress rehearsal this evening! Mortally wounded the deer. A hunter stop and shot it and threw it in the back of his truck  I borrowed a car from a friend for this evening but tomorrow I need to rent a car, I hope.... There are only like 4 rental cars in the county. I asked the tow truck driver if my car was totaled. He asked how many miles were on it. I said 140,000. He said, yeah, it's probably totaled. :sad1:

Good news - I was giving a student a ride to the rehearsal and we are both okay. The deer did not fly up and break my windshield and my airbags did not go off.

:eek: :hug: Scary and sad. The poor deer. I'm glad you and your student are both ok. There's not much you can do, they just seem to dart out into the road. Sorry about your car.

Kinda hard listening to State Volleyball playoff games today knowing had it not been for the "Mr. double hit" official at the net giving the winning points to the other team in our last game :headache: that Redstorm could have been playing today :sad1:. But also feeling a little proud of our girls knowing they "held their own" in loosing efforts to 2 of the teams in the finals. Our District Champion, Needville, has earned the right to play in the finals tomorrow. Sure wish we were spending the weekend in the Dallas area but having our district represented in the final game of the season is pretty good! :goodvibes

Back to "regular life" :rotfl: and a new crop for the afternoon:

I think I could have killed that poor deer myself if I had had a gun. I was so afraid she was going to drag herself out in to the "highway". We have one road here. It goes to Walmart and back. 2 lanes. Usually there is hardly ever any traffic and luckily no one was near me when I hit the deer.

More good news: My car has like $6,000 worth of damage but it's worth like $10,000 so it is not totaled and it will get fixed. But - they are 3 weeks "out" so it will sit there for 3 weeks. Then a week to fix it. :headache: But, more good news - the body shop gave me a free "loaner" car. So much good news! :goodvibes:

:yay: Hooray...you don't have to shop for a new car! :yay: Good deal on the loaner car too; a month seems like a long time but that's about average for body work. Another reason some kids should forget about going to college and learn a trade. Body repairmen are in short supply...would be a good way for some young men (or women :goodvibes) to go in determining what they want to do with the rest of their life. :thumbsup2 There will ALWAYS be a need for body repair work! :tink:

Been "playing" on SmugMug while I'm listening to the Brenham Cub football game (when I SHOULD be working on my Snow Village ) but came up with some fun effects for photos!
