We were thinking about doing the premium Fantasmic package at RBT. We were originally considering BB, but we'll have an infant with us so we thought it would be too loud in the BB section plus it would be nicer to be at the restaurant if the baby gets fussy. I'm not familiar with the building layout in that area so I was wondering how well you can see the fireworks from the RBT (and whether you are allowed to stay for the fireworks after Fantasmic)? Thanks.

Has anyone done the RBT premium package where you get to eat and stay in your seats for the show? How is the view when you do that? I am worried it will be off center so much that the show will not be good from that point of view.

If you go back a few pages and look through the previous posts in this thread (not all 30 pages but just skim through 4 or 5 pages) you will see multiple reviews. Some people have had bad experiences others felt it was great for their situation. I think everyone agrees how close you are to the fence/show makes a big difference. Those who were staying in their chairs but were placed behind other chairs and tables didn't seem to have as good of an experience.

I did the BB package last friday. It was absolutely worth it! The food was by far the the best meal we had, and the view for the show was unbeatable. My mom loved the experience so much, she decided to book it for her and her husband again in march. The cushions are cute. Black with the F! logo on one side, and the BB logo on the other. I've just never been able to experience F! as magically as that. They didn't pack us in tight at all, and we were in the first showing. I would recommend!

Yeah, I've seen people carrying these new cushions around the park recently. I have to say from what I can see at a distance they already seem to be have the best designs out of the previous seat cushions. These must have been rolled out recently too, I did the BB package in August and received one of the standard Disney Parks cushions.

I have gone back pages and pages looking for info about the Hungry Bear package and most everyone is discussing the two other options. So I have questions for those that have done Hungry Bear:

  • Can you choose from their normal menu? This is both for adults and kids. For my kids at least, the BB, RBT and HB Fantasmic food menu for kids would be very unappetizing, but the HB normal menu has stuff they love. It is one of the reasons we are looking at HB over the other two.
  • How often do they require you to stand? They make it clear that it is a non-seating area but it appears to be dependent on maybe how full it is? Has anyone gone to the HB section and been made to stand? We’d much rather sit.

Where in the BB section did you sit? Wondering if the railing is in the way if sitting in front.

We did the Hungry Bear Fantasmic dinner back in Nov. They let us swap one of the non-kid meals for a hamburger and fries and one of the kid meals for chicken tenders/nuggets and fries. I got the Riblets, they were fine, and I thought the side and salad were good.
Everyone in the section sat for the show. I was worried about having to stand if the area was too crowded but I never did find anyone say they were forced to stand during the show.
I've done all three dinner packages and really if you're mainly just wanting the good area to sit in, hungry bear is the best deal. I sat 2 feet from people who where in the Blue Bayou section; so basically the same view. Just line up early for the show so you can get spots near the middle.

We were front and center 2 weeks ago, right up at the railing. We were eager first timers lol. The railing was “in the way”
But we still had an amazing view. However hubby and I agreed that next time we would try to be a tad further back on the incline.

1) Yes, you can switch out dining package options with options from the regular HB menu. The CM's will remind you that you would still have to pay the full $30 for the package.

2)I have yet to read a report in which any dining package area has been made to stand. I feel that the idea of the HB area being made to stand came from speculation when this version of the show debuted in July last year. As far as I know, this has never occurred and I have done the HB package several times.

I read a review that with the second show, all Dining packages are seated together, is that true? Review was from August, so maybe it’s changed since then? Hoping it isn’t true.

I went in both September and November and for the second show both times RBT and BB were mixed in the same area, but HB was always kept separate.

Which area? I have reservations to see the second show with a BB package. Will we be put in the RBT area instead? If BB area, will we have to get there extra early if they’re adding people from other areas?

If you scroll back through for several pages and read through the different experiences you will see a few people who have had this happen. It's not a huge deal, it seems that they just combined the seating areas for BB and RBT for the second show. The area is still dead center to the stage so I imagine its usually the BB area for the first show. I think they usually don't sell out of the RBT and BB dining experiences for the second show so the can fit everyone into the BB area (maybe the usual RBT area is combined with the regular fastpass seating area, not positive).

I got there both times about 10 minutes before they started letting us in (I think they let us in just a bit after 10 p.m. for the 10:30 show) and got a great seat each time. As I mentioned in another post the only thing that was annoying was they let the RBT group in first one night and BB second. I still got the perfect seat I wanted but for that few minutes of watching the RBT group get in first it was annoying just because we had paid $30 more per person and I was worried we wouldn't get the ideal spot... But such is life. Depending on the Cast members that evening crowd control at Fantasmic can be a thing of beauty... or kinda messy.

For some views of where I was seated and my specific experiences here are my videos that I've posted in the past:

Thank you. I agree, it’s annoying they combine the groups. I don’t see why they can’t just leave them as is, even if not crowded. Having more room would be nice and not very cool for the BB’s who paid more. Your videos were helpful!

I did the Hungry Bear package tonight. I had a reservation for 6:30 but I showed up at 6:00 and it was no problem. Overall I found the package to be a good value. I didn't like my food that much. I had the riblets, which are basically pork ribs on the bone, cut into 3-inch pieces. The sauce was too sweet for my taste. Same with the rice accompaniment ... very sweet. The salad was fine. The riblets were difficult/awkward to eat. I felt it was a very small portion. I did the Aladdin's Oasis to go package for the MSEP and it was far superior in both taste and potion size. I wish they would go back to Aladdin.

The seating for Fantasmic was great! We were front and very close to center. We were all seated on the ground. I showed up 20 minutes before the show and sat in the very back of the section and had a great view, no complaints at all. Fantasmic itself was AMAZING. I was blown away. I will definitely do this package again but I'll either try the BBQ chicken or just sub out for a cheeseburger and fries off the regular menu.
