I am leaning towards ordering room service for breakfast vs. hunting down hard boiled eggs (I have to eat protein in the morning - eggs work best for me). I plan to order the night before.

For those who have ordered room service breakfast with pre-ordering, has it been reliably on time? And since it's pricey, I'm hoping the quality is good?

I want to save my steps for the parks vs. running down to the bakery for a breakfast sandwich. I'm hoping this plan will be both more relaxing and efficient!

....hooo boy.... :scratchin....hmmmmm.....

Thanks for the pictures! Makes me feel like I'm "home" again.

We had a similar room on the top floor last time. It was super convenient. Quick question, when we were there the DME area was being re-done so they had tents set up to handle luggage further down the path, so we weren't impacted too much by noise. How did you find the noise in that spot? TIA!

....honestly, we didn't notice any noise....

I know you said you want to save your steps for the parks, but I wanted to throw this option out there for you to consider too: try Picabu over at the Dolphin for breakfast. I did a short stay at the Swan last year and happened to stumble upon this little gem. IMO, their breakfasts are better than the other quick serve options in the boardwalk area. You can actually get whole eggs, instead of just "scrambled".

Have a great trip!

Hi everyone. I have a question. I am not a DVC member, but I decided to book through Disney to say at the Boardwalk Villas because the price was better than to stay at the regular Boardwalk room. I booked it myself, a studio, through the Disney website. I did not purchase any sort of timeshare or anything like that, just a Disney Magic Your Way package the way I have always done.

So, my question is will there be anything essentially different between me staying in the studio at the Villa vs. if I had booked for more money and stayed at the BoardWalk's regular room? I have been researching it all over the web, but I wanted to ask here to see if I missed something.

The one thing I was most concerned about was housekeeping because I hear different things and I think I have the story right. I know that DVC members get scarce housekeeping - just a couple of times visit for a long vacation, unless they pay for more, but if I have my understanding right, since I booked a package the normal way with Disney, I get the normal daily housekeeping, right? It's hard to get concrete confirmation on this, so other than calling Disney, which I could do, I thought I would ask you guys. I mean, it's not a dealbreaker if I don't get the daily mousekeeping, though I would prefer it. My trip is a 10 day one.

But anyway, it just seemed like a no-brainer to save a couple of hundred bucks and stay at the Villas instead of the regular Boardwalk, especially when the studio seems very nice in the pics. But anyway, I'd appreciate anyone who could help illuminate if there are any major differences to doing a Magic Your Way package at the Villas at Boardwalk vs. the regular Boardwalk.
The DVC Studio Villas have a little kitchenette that you don't get on the Inn side. The extra's that you get in the kitchenette are a small sink, a microwave oven and a regular sized coffee pot. You also get some paper plates and bowls and plastic utensils. I believe there is a fridge in both the Villas and the Inn.

I also like staying on the Villas side better because they are closer to the walk way to Hollywood Studios.

Have a great trip!

ITA....we stayed at S/D twice and have found that they do have a great selection of breakfasts, lunches, AND dinners!
