Anything special going on for Easter?

My family and I will be at Universal, staying at RPR for 5 days over Easter. Has anyone heard of anything special going on for the holiday? Or experienced anything in past years? I keep hearing about things going on at Disney but I haven't been able to find out anything at the universal hotels or parks

I understand them not going over the top, as it is a religious holiday that not everyone celebrates; however, it would be really nice if there was something on the grounds to mark the occasion. I will be bringing stuff for Easter baskets for my kids with me (although they are getting a little big ).

Wish I could help you but I have never been at the Darkside on Easter.

Have you checked the UO website to see if anything is listed for a special event at the hotels or parks?

Hopefully someone will come around and be able to share their experiences at the parks during Easter time period.

I see 144 people have read your post but maybe it will be the 145 person that reads it will have an answer for you.

Unfortunately, it appears that neither the resorts nor parks do anything, which is a little disappointing. I called again today and was told that maybe something would be planned "as it got closer" but considering it's a week from Sunday, I'm not optimistic. The Disney resorts do activities and have an Easter Bunny meet and greet so that's the sort of thing I was hoping for.

There is an extension of their normal Sunday brunch from 11am until 3pm at Royal Pacific, but it also costs $56 per person, so we'll have to consider if that's worth it. I also talked to the Hard Rock Hotel, and they also have a buffet.

We were at Cabana Bay last year for Easter with a 2,4, and 11 year old. They did a huge egg hunt on the grounds that was awesome! It was divided into two areas for the different age groups. They handed out bags to each child to collect the eggs which were filled with individual packets of a variety of candy such as M&Ms, Skittles, etc. I believe the easter bunny made an appearance later on but we had left for the parks. It was wonderful!

Hi, was that on Easter Sunday? And do you recall what time the Easter egg hunt started? I wonder if guests at hard Rock Hotel could join?

Yes, it was on Easter morning and if I can remember probably around 9-10am? Not sure about coming over from Hard Rock but no one was checking room keys as far as I remember...it was very busy. You may want to call guest services at Hard rock to see if they are doing one as well. Good Luck!

I know Portofino had an easter egg hunt on the wedding lawn area at least 2 years ago (We went in the afternoon and saw the aftermath, but weren't there for the hunt itself). These probably aren't announced anywhere but the hotel itself.
