Tell me about Blue Waters in Falmouth

Looking like this is the closest beach and excursion to the port website says 10 minute ride. Anyone been there done that. Would love to hear the good and the bad.

We went with shore excursioner and booked a All inclusive tour that granted access to both Royalton White Sands & Blue Waters (next to each other). No more than 15 min drive from port.

Not crowded at all, beautiful serene beach but activities if so inclined. at least 3 large pools & lazy river in this deluxe resort with tons of security that kept beach peddlers at bay.

Service was top notch & drinks were great/varied. buffet started at noon & was extensive as to offerings & surprisingly good

I appreciated that the tour bus picked us up/dropped off in the port bubble. We had more time on the beach/pools than the ship’s offerings & was less expensive. We requested a 4 pm pickup time tot head back to ship. The driver was a half hour early according to bell staff. Was nice that it gave us a good hour in port to shop before all aboard time.

The Hilton Rose Hall is nice too. I stayed at a resort near there and heard it was very nice.

We went in January 2018. Royalton & White Sands was clean, comfortable and spacious. We enjoyed the break and it was quite close - a short bus ride. There's a great kids area or two, and several pools. The swim - up bar and beach areas were clean. There were activities if you chose which were fun but staff was not pushy or rude - enthusiastic but not in your face. Lots of chairs & lounges available. Cabanas for rent also. Food was great with lots of variety. Standard buffet but done very well. Seafood was excellent, and had exquisite desserts & fresh vibrant fruit choices.
We used private vendor shore excursioneer, booked independently, we were picked up and dropped off inside the secure perimeter at the port. Bus was air conditioned & comfortable.
We would definitely do it again. Highly recommended.

Went thru shore excursioneer too. Their reviews were good & price a bit lower. Ship’s excursion that visits was less time and cost more$.

Would do it again in a heartbeat. Only offputting thing was so much security, several armed with guns, the rest with billy clubs. Conversely, they are there for a reason. Can’t say Jamaica is on my radar for another port of call.
