An extra one on top of what has been mentioned if you want to be real early:
On my solo trip, I had booked 8AM breakfast at BOG. I ordered the kid’s oatmeal and had too much food (I brought the pastries to eat them later as snack). Quality was ok, ambience is nice. By the time the park opened at 9AM, I had taken pictures in front of the castle, eaten, riden 7DMT and Peter Pan Flight and was in line for BTMRR.
Sleepy Hollow was to be a mid-morning snack if I had needed more food, as others said, waffles and funnel cakes are great there. Fruits are available around the corner in Liberty Square if you want some.

I LOVE breakfast out - it's one of my favorite things to do on a solo trip at Disney.

1) Boma. It has the normal Disney breakfast buffet items - plus lots of different stuff. Warning - don't drink too much of their juice or you will fill up fast. If you want to get stuffed and need a reason to see AKL - this is a great choice. If you go - be sure to visit the savanna before you leave to see the animals.

2) Grand Floridian Cafe - for quiet, relaxed, and with the goal of not stuffing yourself silly. I typically get pancakes and French press coffee if I go here.

3) Whispering Canyon Cafe - if you love biscuits and gravy and bacon and sausage and that's what you want to pig out on. (Their Breakfast Skillet) But unless you want to pig out on that stuff - not high on my recommendation list. (I admit to an occasional weakness of biscuits and gravy)

4) Cape May Cafe for a relaxed character meal and a reason to visit the Beach Club area.

5) Tusker House for a breakfast buffet with interesting food choices beyond the normal, characters, and being inside a park.

6) The Wave - this one is if you want a quiet breakfast buffet, regular food, no characters. Food and service here tend to be top-notched, but if you are looking for more unusual choices - don't pick this one.

7) BOG breakfast. But - only if you get this pre-park opening - or late morning. Don't waste valuable time in shorter lines eating here at park opening. And only if one of the menu items sounds good to you, selection is not huge. You do get a lot of food for the price here. Especially as a solo diner.

8) Sleepy Hollow - for waffles. I've had both - the Nutella one and the chicken one. I prefer the chicken one as despite my love for nutella and strawberries - it was just too much sweet for me. For me, however, the seating for this is crowded, tends to be sticky, tends to be sunny, and I really wish I had a real fork and knife for eating here. So - if you love waffles and want casual - okay - go here. Expect to need to wash your hands afterwards. I always seem to get messy here.

9) Garden Grill - if you want a character meal and want to be served all you can eat instead of it being a buffet. This is good if you are planning it around your trip to Soarin in EP.

PLACES/Things that are over-rated and I do not recommend for breakfast:

1) QS breakfast as any resort. It's just food. It will do - its fine. But its not special.

2) Tonga Toast. Really - it's over-rated. If you want to try - go to Captain Cooks.

3) Kona Cafe - there's just nothing notable about this place. Could be the hotel breakfast I was served in any restaurant in any hotel in the US. Boring. It always feels like I get slighted as a solo diner here. Poor service. Note that I don't feel the same way about Grand Floridian Cafe or The Wave, though.

4) Akershus - UNLESS you are going there to specifically meet the princesses - I just don't think this place feels right as a solo diner.

5) Chef Mickey's. Now - if you go for a LATE breakfast here - one of the latest seating times - this can be pleasant enough, not too crazy. But I think this buffet always feels messy to me - and well, I'd rather go to Cape May if I am going to see the classic characters at breakfast.

6) Beignets at POFQ. They are okay - but well, go to New Orleans if you want real ones.

7) Cinnamon rolls at WDW. Really? Don't waste your time - Cinnabon is a chain across the US. Now - if that's your favorite splurge - okay - go for it. They are decent. They aren't something special, though.

Have fun picking!!!

Thank you for the recommendations. A few of these I’ve never heard of.

Thank you. I made ADR at Kona for the Tonga Toast, maybe I better look at Captain Cooks? Whispering Canyons sounds yummy. My last full day I want to make a ADR for breakfast and late dinner.

Sanaa, you don't need an ADR, it's quick service price with table service and the food is great, but, the view is phenomenal.

I'm going to throw in one more that I don't think has been mentioned and that's Trial's End at Fort Wilderness. They have a great buffet be it breakfast or dinner. It's a great option for an MK day, as you're just a boat ride away.

Grand Floridian did an amazing breakfast! We had lobster eggs benedict and it was amazing! Also Be Our Guest was really good! I had an open croissant sandwich, and they gave us a pastries plate, one for my friend and one for me! It was great and VERY filling!

I was just thinking about this one. Their brunch buffet in particular is a bit of a hidden gem due to its location, but it's worth the trek.

You have got to try California Grill Brunch. It is only on Sunday’s and exspensive but it is SO good. We make it a point to go every trip.

The Wave! Love The Wave. Good food, relaxing atmosphere, easy to reach via Disney Transportation.

Favorite QS breakfast is Les Halles, France, Epcot. I had a quiche Lorraine and strawberry tart.

Kona Cafe- Tonga toast or macadamia pancakes

Grand Floridian has a nice breakfast, complete with delicious Mickey waffles.

Ale & Compass has caramel apple French toast

Kona Cafe is always delicious for ADR. My favorite place for counter service is Les Halles Boulangerie & Patisserie in Epcot because it opens at 9am before the rest of the World Showcase.

I like Tusker at AK have some unique options. Don't forget the cinnamon roll at Gaston's - technically a snack but it is breakfast for 2 for us! I also enjoy Ohana's breakfast it is good and so relaxing.

Fresh Med. Market at the Dolphin. It is our go to for the day we leave. It is a hybrid buffet or ala carte. They have the best juice anywhere, the service is always good and the food is good.
