I know.
I bought a Nikon D3300 and have never used it! I was very intimidated by it and also could not imagine wearing it around my neck at Disney. So, I depended on my phone as a camera for the last few trips. For this trip, I researched lightweight cameras that were better than my phone (iphone 5S) but probably equal to some of the newer phones. I got a Canon G9X Mark ll. I just set it on Auto and hoped for the best. I got lucky a few times, but I know I should learn more about it. I should also learn how to use the Nikon! If I didn't have a bad back and some other pain issues, I would not be as concerned about the weight. This Canon was a delight in that respect. Now that I'm retired, I am hoping to devote more time to getting the kind of quality photos I see here. You guys are an inspiration!

Try getting a Black Rapid strap for your Nikon. It will allow the camera to hang at your side. It's what I use and I find it very comfortable for my D7000.
