    St. Maarten Beaches

We went to Maho Beach a few weeks ago. It was so cool watching the planes come overhead but not relaxing umbrella type of place. The current is pretty strong and you have to pile your stuff on top of rocks up the beach so it doesn’t get washed away. I wouldn’t recommend it for little kids unless...

Just returned from first ever cruise, Mini (or not)Report on Southern Caribbean from San Juan Jan 28

Love your report! I love the Wonder and also love seeing another pic of the singer from Tiana’s! Ha! They sang one or two nights in Cadillac too.

    HOTHS vs. MNSSHP

The HOTHS trick or treat is a hot crowded mess on the Dream class ships. People soup and mobs going everywhere. My kids were over it in ten minutes and they are normally hard core trick or treaters.

    On board credit

Yes, it goes on the account of the lead guest. Cruised recently with friends on a placeholder and the little card was in our room with lead guests name.

Ever see anything totally shocking and unexpected on a cruise?

On a recent dcl cruise we headed up to the adult section and there was a group of guys passing around a joint and smoking in the wide open space. I was surprised to see how brave and nonchalant they were. It was on Jamaica day

location on deck 9 for adults without kids

We prefer to be right under the quiet cove area when we cruise without kids. So convenient.

    Characters at Disney Junior breakfast

My last fantasy breakfast had Jake, Doc, Sofia and Mickey. Same with Wonder in November.

Convince me to go for the Grand Slam on the Wonder...

We love the Wonder. I felt like the cast interactions there were fabulous, we never had to wait for anything because the crowds weren't overwhelming, love their adult area, Tiana's was great. Our complaint was the lack of nightlife. The ship kind of dies at 10 pm. We were there without kids in...

    Current Cruise Staffs (all ships)

Any guess if Captain Fabian will still be on the Fantasy in late Feb? He's our favorite!

Leaving items at a Disney resort during cruise

Another option would be renting a stroller at wdw. We have done that before cruises so that we don't have to bring the stroller on the ship.

Is Soarin' appropriate for a 6 year old?

My two older kids have both been on it at that age and younger. DD didn't like it the first time but she used to be scared of a lot. Second time and after that she loved in. Ds is on th spectrum and thought it was amazing. He is not a roller coaster kid at all. So it really just depends on the...

Enchanted Garden teacup tables...like or dislike?

We sat at one once for embarkation lunch. Two adults and three small kids, it was way too small but we wanted to try it. Took a few cute pictures but wouldn't want to do it again.

Split stay Universal/Disney and scooter rental? Too complicated?

You can rent through Walker and they will deliver/pick up from both places. You can arrange transportation from Universal to Disney through Universal and let them know you need an accessible van to transport a scooter. It's reasonably priced and that way you don't have to stress about taking the...

    Mixology Class - Drinks?

Our sailing was November 10 and it was toward the end. Who knows.

Disney Virgin - Traveling with 3 and 6 yo- Epcot v. HS?

I would pick Epcot if you have a princess fan (I personally like Epcot a lot better but trying to look at kids point of view) or HS if they prefer Star Wars and Disney Junior. For us, HS is not a full day so you could do the pool that day instead. The air temp will likely make you freeze as soon...

Grand Cayman- how much time will I need?

I was on the Wonder so much less people... the tender times were typical for us. The traffic on the island didn't seem any different than usual but there were for sure more people at public beach.

Grand Cayman- how much time will I need?

I would say from the time you get to the theater to wait for the tender, 10-20 min, then 20 min on the tender. They fill the "cabs" which are like 20 passenger vans full so you may have to wait like ten minutes until it's full. About a ten minute ride to the beach. Same in reverse for your...

    Merrytime Cruise Questions

I have done several merrytime cruises. The gingerbread house making was at terrible times on our last sailing. I believe it was on two different mornings but at like 8:30 am... which is too early for me even with kids because we stay up late on vacation!

    Mixology Class - Drinks?

I have done several mixology classes, tequila, beer, wine, and martini. They closed the bar/door for all of those and had someone at the door to turn people away.
