What has been your most magical moment in WDW?

Probably the first time I met Peter Pan. I actually didn't make in time to get in line (back when he met in Adventureland) so I decided to find a place to watch because he was so entertaining (plus he was really cute) and write on my trip report. And I guess he saw me staring because as soon...

    Character Meet Up’s

I'd definitely get an idea of who she'd like to see because there are characters a plenty. Meeting the princess is a lot of fun (I particularly enjoyed seeing Tiana and Rapunzel at Princess Fairytale Hall and Belle at France in Epcot.) Peter Pan is a blast (He meets by the treasure map by...

How early to be at park entrance for Navi?

We got to AK around 8:45am on a 9:00am opening day and waited less than 10 minutes to get on Navi. I think you should be fine.

Why do you keep going back?

I'm a show junkie so I typically go for the shows more than the rides. BATB and Finding Nemo are shows that I see at least twice every trip and I throughly enjoy them all each time. I could literally spend all day at HS seeing all the BATB shows for the day. I did find going that going to...

Help with MK and EPCOT this weekend

Take advantage of rope drop and EMM in the morning if you're staying on site. Everyone has their opinions on when to use your first 3 FP+; I prefer making mine an hour or two after rope drop since lines are typically the lightest in the morning and I'm typically able to get more FP+ while in...

    Character Meetings and Autographs

Another good option that I did on my last trip (I'm 30) is to have the characters sign a canvas tote bag I had them sign with a regular black sharpie (though in hindsight, I wish I would have brought some colored ones) and I brought a hard cover book to put in the bag so they'd have...

    Is Disney fun solo?

I'm sure that's not always the determinating factor but it's definitely true in my case. I'm an only child and extreme introvert so I've been pleased with amusing myself ever since I was little. I've done the extended family trip of 12+ and I've done trips with just my parents (with plenty of...

If we can get a FP for FOP for our Oct trip, when should we do standby for Navi River Ride?

On our last trip in January, we made it to AK 15 minutes before rope drop and were on in less than ten minutes.

    Taking a first timer

I'd say go for it! When my parents and I went on our last trip, we made a deal early on that we were not obligated to stay together the entire time and we often split up or went to the park at entirely different times. And it worked out great; my parents got more of the relaxation they wanted...

Lion King FP or Nemo FP?

As previous posters have mentioned, there really isn't a bad place for FoTLK and FP for that will get you closer to the front which helps if your kids want to possibly be involved in the show. Nemo FP will get you in the lower 'bubble' section which is great if you're wanting to be really close...

    Hollywood Studios Worth It?

HS has never been a skip for me and is in fact my favorite park. Yes there aren't as many rides and with ToT and RnRC (and I'm assuming Star Tours as well) being out for you, that will cut it down even more. But I go to HS for the shows. BATB, Frozen Sing a long and the Indiana Jones show...

What is the one disney park parade you miss?

Spectromagic! That was the only parade that I ever wanted to be in when I was little.

Is Disney Spring worth 1/2 extra day and night stay?

Nope. Yes there's new stuff there but it is definitely not worth an extra $250-$350.

Best age for child's first visit to WDW? Poll Inside!

No children myself, but my parents took me for my first three trips when I was 2, 4 and 6yrs old and they've both said that had they the chance to do it again, they wouldn't have taken me at 2 yrs since I was still in diapers and needing a slower pace. They said my trip at 4yrs was much...

    will I make it

The earlier you can get to AK, the better. We got to the park at 8:45 and FoP was already an hour and a half wait. We pretty much walked on NRJ though. I'd switch your FP to FoP if there's any way possible.

    "Mom, I'm embracing my inner child!" ~ A 1/20-27 2018 TR (COMPLETE!)

I don't mind at all! Actually, I totally forgot lol! Side one turned out exactly as I hoped. Things got a little crazy on the other side, but there's still some space so I may bring it back on our next trip since I didn't get to see Gaston and the Tremaines sisters.

Opinions on what I did wrong...

The only time we ever did the dining plan was when it was included and even then, we found it to be far too much food. My dad is the biggest soda drinker in our family and even then, he barely drinks it while mom and I stick to water 99% of the time. I also found that we struggled for...

    "Mom, I'm embracing my inner child!" ~ A 1/20-27 2018 TR (COMPLETE!)

So now that the trip report is over, here’s my final thoughts. :surfweb: I promise after that last post, this won't take long. ;) The Good - January weather was wonderful to us this trip. We've never gone in January and wondered what we'd get but with a few exceptions (mainly cold evenings...

    "Mom, I'm embracing my inner child!" ~ A 1/20-27 2018 TR (COMPLETE!)

AK pt 2: Pandora continued and gushing about Finding Nemo: The Musical because I'm also obsessed with this show Stopped at Satu’li Canteen for lunch since it seemed to be a different style than the typical Disney fare. Basically, it's different bowls where you choose your meat, base, and...
