    Tron AP preview thread

For the record, I entered the queue at 9:40 and did not make it. I was a little trepidatious about it anyway; not sure how the arthritis in my shoulder & hip will stand up to it.

E-PASS UNI on sale today only

E-PASS UNI, the E-ZPass compatible version of the Orlando area toll transponder is on sale today only for $5. (It's been on sale all week, but unfortunately I just saw it now, and today's the last day.) Regular price is $15. It's moveable between cars with built-in suction cups, and is valid...

New route from I-4 north of Orlando to WDW

Just to clarify: Even though that final section of SR-429 is still under construction in the northbound direction, you can still take SR-429 leaving WDW to I-4 heading north. You'll just be diverted to SR-46 for the last couple of miles before I-4, as can be seen on the map in the 2nd part of...

    Jetblue terminal C

Same thing happened when Denver opened their new airport back in the '90's with a new, high-tech, state-of-the-art baggage handling system. They never learn. :D

New route from I-4 north of Orlando to WDW

The ramp from westbound I-4 near Sanford to the Wekiva Pkwy SR-429 is opening tomorrow, 10/21/22. Drivers coming south on I-4 will be able to completely bypass Orlando by taking this exit and following SR-429 all the way down to the Western Way exit, which leads to WDW's western gate. It will...

Definitive start times for Monorails/Resort Launches?

Because Disney Transport does not run on a schedule. It's planned week-by-week based on expected demand, and is modified as demand changes.

    Monorail/Skyliner?

For $8, they could ride the public bus, Lynx 300, from DS to TTC. That's 3 adult fares @ $2 + 2 child fares @ $1. The bus leaves from the West Side bus loop behind Cirque every 30 minutes...

    Amtrak Not the Autotrain

It's currently bookable beginning 5/23 northbound, and 5/25 southbound. But that certainly is not set in stone; it was already postponed once. It might even start earlier if they get things back in order. I haven't heard anything about the schedule being less than normal once it resumes. In...

    Lynx Bus Question

I think Lynx does not grant senior fares unless you have a Lynx discount card. Full fare is $2 a ride, or you can pay $4.50 on the bus for an all-day pass. The fare boxes take dollar bills and coins. You can also buy passes and single-ride tickets on the web site or on an app, but I have not...

Car service or uber from tpa

If you're not in a hurry, you could take Amtrak from TPA to KIS, using Uber to get from the airport to the train station in Tampa and from the Kissimmee station to WDW. There's only one train a day, which is scheduled to depart at 5:20 pm, but it often runs late. But the fare, if purchased in...

    417 tolls

I haven't driven that full route in years, but I believe you can use toll-by-plate as long as you stay out of the express lanes. If you go thru a toll point in the Express Lane without a transponder, you could be billed for the tolls plus a $25 penalty.

    417 tolls

There are Express Lanes on part of SR-528. You are not allowed to use the Express Lanes without a transponder.

Does anyone else use 417 instead of 1-4 East to get to 95?

I-4 Express Lanes are now open from Longwood to Universal. Theoretically, that should get around the backups in downtown Orlando. A transponder is required; any transponder accepted in FL, including E-ZPass, will do.

Cheap flights from Tampa vs. Orlando to NYC area

It can be a little over an hour, but it would be wise to allow 2 hours in case of a traffic problem.

    Remy 1pm virtual queue

Disney says I have to be in Epcot to get a boarding group for Remy / Ratatouille at 1pm. Is it actually like Rise used to be when they opened the virtual queue at 9am, that I just need to have entered Epcot sometime before the queue opens? I'm thinking I might go into Epcot but be somewhere...
