    Tron with an invisible disability

Agree with PP -- anyone can ask to use the accessible seats regardless of reason. My only thought is if anyone is younger than 7 and thus requires an adult to ride next to them. If you have 2 adults and can split between regular cycles and accessible seats, no worry.

What has happened to Barbie Dolls today?

I have never ever seen "Barbie" at a store to promote the doll line, not even back to the 70s. Maybe it was earlier than that? Or maybe only in major metropolitan areas? Barbies were popular when I was a kid. There weren't as many options of other-branded dolls back then as there are now...

    Few more questions

You can book excursions and onboard activities after you pay-in-full -- how long after depends on your CC status. If you are Silver CC (1-4 previous DCL cruises) then that is at 90 days prior to embarkation. Online check-in is when you select a PAT (port arrival time) and that will be roughly...

    House Rental

Lots of folks rent houses. There is a huge Air B&B business in the area. You might want to check out the Orlando Hotels and Attractions forum. There may be some posts there.

    Does shipboard medical take HSA?

I didn't see any posts confirming that DCL Guest Services does accept an HSA card as payment. One poster claimed it can be used anywhere with a Visa logo, but myself and another poster shared personal experience that says otherwise. I suggest having a back-up credit card to use if necessary --...

MCO or Port Canaveral hotel before cruise?

I don't think I've ever read of anybody whose luggage was left behind at the MCO Hyatt. I suppose it's possible, but they seem to have a system that works. If you are asking about folks leaving luggage who aren't on the Hyatt manifest... they would not have been instructed to leave luggage...

MCO or Port Canaveral hotel before cruise?

The Hyatt does not need to be booked through DCL, but be sure to inform DCL that you are staying at the Hyatt. Also make sure the reservation for the Transfers state Hyatt Lobby (not MCO). There are separate manifests and you cannot get added at hotel check-in the night prior; if not on the...

Where Can We Find Solar Eclipse Glasses (Not Online)?

For an idea of timing -- that's usually about 1.5 hours from Concord to Lancaster (just using that as a the southern edge of the totality zone). If you are simply thinking a day trip -- I'd just head out in the morning, leave plenty of time in case there are lots of others on the roads doing...

Where Can We Find Solar Eclipse Glasses (Not Online)?

I think you said you expect to be in NH. Where in NH? Southern part, near the MA border? Here's a map of how the eclipse is expected in NH - the path of totality will be at the upper (dark green) area: Depending on your starting point, you'll likely drive I-93 north to Franconia and then US...

Just discovered a quirky state rule, tell me about yours (region or country)

It used to be illegal to tied a giraffe to a telephone pole... apparently that law was rescinded though.

Where Can We Find Solar Eclipse Glasses (Not Online)?

This is true in soooo many places. Hotels have been sold out for months. Local parking lots are charging people to park (offering a "viewing party" for the day). Schools are closing -- not as much to view the eclipse but to avoid anticipated issues of unbelievable traffic expected. And we've...

Just discovered a quirky state rule, tell me about yours (region or country)

It is illegal to undress in public, but being nude in public is legal. So apparently if you leave your house naked you are fine. 🤣

Where Can We Find Solar Eclipse Glasses (Not Online)?

I'm in VT in the path of totality. Walgreens had some plastic glasses. Our local library, city hall and schools are all handing out glasses; also got some when I bought t-shirts. Most communities are having viewing events and will be handing out glasses -- some events are free, some charge...

    Does shipboard medical take HSA?

To veer off-topic and give a quick explanation... Many folks have what are called HDHP (high deductible healthcare plans) and with that are eligible for an "HSA" (health savings account). The deductible is an amount you are charged for your healthcare expenses before insurance will kick-in to...

Child Severely Injured on Disney Resort Property - what would you do?

Don't second guess yourself or beat yourself up over this, mom! You did not fail your kid! You took care of him and made him the #1 concern. You didn't worry about cost or time or lost vacation or whatever. You worried about him and got him the medical attention he needed.

    Resort mail package delivery fee

Are you asking about a grocery order through Amazon (Amazon Fresh)? Or other non-food items like sunscreen, toiletries, hats, etc.? Packages that arrive via USPS, FedEx, etc. are delivered to the front desk. Expect a fee per package/box; it may or may not actually get charged but it is...

    Upgrade at port with DCL?

Based on reports, it may depend on the terminal (Port Canaveral, Port Everglades, Vancouver, etc.). Generally, you shouldn't expect to be allowed into the terminal until your PAT (not boarding group). So those with an early PAT will have first shot at upgrades, unless boarding at a terminal...

    Does shipboard medical take HSA?

My local hospital actually does ask. I pay the bills through the online portal and there is a check box to check if using an HSA. A couple of times I have missed (or overlooked) that box and the payment does NOT go through. I called once and they explained I need to check that box. So I...

    Does shipboard medical take HSA?

You are correct about the debit card. But you should also have a way to submit and expense for reimbursement if you paid in another manner (another credit card, check, cash, etc.). That might be a form or an online submission. As to onboard -- the medical center does not take payment...

WDW Summary of NEW DAS changes and Disney Genie - Post ONE is an updated summary

I think it depends how busy they are at that time. If not busy the same CM will do it all; if busy, the CM doing the video will transfer you to another CM for the Advanced Selections.
