Oasis of the Seas for Kids

So much for teens and pre-teens....rock wall, swimming, waterslides, mini golf, zip line, dry slide from deck 16 to 6, sports court with various scheduled games, Boardwalk fun (games and I think they have a climbing thing for your younger one), merry go round, parades (I think on Oasis...we...

    Odyssey entertainment

Yeah, it's a shame they don't all have Broadway...at least for Quantum and Oasis class. Having said that, Odyssey is a wonderful ship, shows are enjoyable (The Book is a bit odd, but artistic and great talent) and still well done, and Odyssey itself has the Wow factor. I'm sure you'll have an...

    Odyssey entertainment

Went with a 14 year old, 18 year old , DH and myself and we all enjoyed it. The story is light (superheros fighting the bad guy) but it was done quite well and had some cool special effects. We are going on Wonder soon and seeing Effectors 2. (I guess the story continues). Looking forward to...

    Air2Sea & Delta Codeshare

We used Air2Sea for the first time with our last cruise and booked WestJet flights. My understanding is some airlines let you book your seats as soon as you book Air2Sea. However, with WestJet we had to pay off the cruise (which we did close to final payment). At that point, the tickets are...

    Odyssey entertainment

We were on Odyssey in December. The Book is the only show you need a reservation for, and thus, it's the only one you will see in the planner pre-cruise. There is a show every night though. The Effectors is their "Broadway" type show. There is Show Girls. The rest will be headliners.

Royal Caribbean Newbie here, how do I choose which class?

The great thing about Royal is they have a ton of ships and they cater to different likes. We have been on Oasis, Quantum, Voyager, Freedom and Vision class. It depends on what you like or want as priority. You don't mention if you have kids, which can make a difference. They all have Main...

Newbie on Royal - What are your best tips?

We also enjoy the MDR., but food is subjective. Also, I have never stayed higher suite , but have heard very good things about Costal Kitchen (if on Oasis or Quantum class). If you want to try specialty, maybe look at the menus and give 1 a try? We also like traditional dining so we get the...

    Carry On and Toiletries

Returned from our trip and no issues with toiletries. I managed to pack a Ziplock each (layered so not flat). They barely looked on the way there. On return from USA, they said we didn't even have to remove the Ziplock bags from our carryon's (so they didn't even care).

    Carry On and Toiletries

Sneaky but so smart! ...lol DH will have my second toiletry bag and I do wonder if they will question why he needs concealer and some of the other hair products

    Carry On and Toiletries

Thank you. Wow, you were able to bring a lot in 2 liquid bags. I have the travel size shampoo/conditioner, hairspray, moisturizer and I do put my hair serum in travel containers. To limit liquids, I find that makeup wipes and Olay dry pre-face clothes work well as they don't take up liquid...

    Carry On and Toiletries

Thanks! May try to layer then and ensure the Ziplock closes.

    Carry On and Toiletries

Thanks. We have 7"x8" which seems to be the size? Only going for 4 days but still doesn't change items. Another question...do the items need to lay flat side by side? Or can you put a few on top of each other as long as you can close the Ziplock?

    Carry On and Toiletries

Anyone flown recently with a carry on? Wondering how strict they are with toiletry bag? I have items less than 100ml, and DH doesn't need anything so I guess I'll have 2 toiletry bags but pretty sure I won't have enough room with a small ziplock. Wondering if its a touch bigger if they allow?

First time cruise! Oasis seven nights in carribean

Don't miss the Aqua show. It's the best one we've seen so far. Oasis is amazing...and has so much to do. One thing that we missed when we went was Laser Tag as didn't realize we had to sign up or book (there's a stand by line but our kids didn't want to wait). Think sign up was when we boarded?

    Icon of the seas

Even their lowest category is named "Spacious Interior", but luckily they disclose the square footage as it's only 178 sq ft. Definitely marketing. The room currently goes for over 9K for a family of four for our booked date. We booked one room, booked early when released and was able to grab...

We just booked direct from Toronto to LAX and back, but it was through Air Canada.

We did get a notification if there was a new chat message, but sometimes it was delayed.

    RCI-App Chat Details

We used it on Oasis last month and do not get internet package. We simply connected to the ship wifi and we were good to go. We did set up accounts for our kids though so that they could each chat as themselves. It's nice too as you can also set up group chats. Worked great for us so we...

Royal changing to 1x day room cleaning

We just got home from Oasis where they switched to 1 cleaning a day. I'd say it was ok....except...they need to be more consistent. For example, for the first couple days, our person cleaned when we went for dinner, which was perfect as we just showered so it meant we came back to clean...

Royal changing to 1x day room cleaning

We are on Oasis next week and heard that we are their first cruise where they are switching to just 1x per day. Not a big deal for us, but definitely a pain for those who need pullmans pulled down or sofa beds opened at night/closed during the day. Think I'd prefer just the morning over night...
