    Ugh…..Post cards

My kids are trying to get a few post cards from every trip we take, and I totally forgot to look for any while we were there last week. So, two questions…. 1) Does anyone know if they sell any DL specific post cards at the park? And if so…. 2) Does anyone know of a service that will purchase...

    Grocery delivery to hotel?

    I don’t know, but definitely DON’T use Albertson’s.

Crohns and DAS = denied. MODERATOR NOTE: No diagnosis is automatically allowed or denied for DAS. DAS is issued based on needs, not diagnosis

Just an FYI for DL vs WDW….. I’ve only used DAS once, at WDW. I had no trouble getting it at a blue umbrella, and in fact the lady said that my issue is exactly what the DAS is for. That was a year and a half ago. We have a DL trip coming up next week, and I did the online registration for my...

    Sensory friendly bathroom tips

I was with you until the comment about more than 2 kids and poor planning. That’s as unkind as many of the other things reported here. Plenty of single-parent families have more than 2 kids, and have no one else that can travel with them. If the choice is to go with one adult or not go adult...

    Sensory friendly bathroom tips

My kids were always very bothered by the loud noises in large bathrooms (one still is), and we go to baby care if we can. I’m not sure how old your son is, but kids of all ages can use it (toilets are shorter there, so maybe not ideal for an older child). It’s much, much quieter. Downside is...

Character Meal as a Single Parent

I always ask for a table as close to the buffet as possible, so I can see them, and then we all go together through the first time. After that, I get up alone or take the youngest with me (I have 3 kids). I feel comfortable as long as I can see them. I do a lot with my three and just me, not...

July 2023 planning and chat thread!

We use Lansky car service, and they provide car seats. They’re great!!

    Where to get beignets now?

They’re trying to make them authentic maybe? 😂😂😂 Some of the worst bathrooms I’ve ever been in are in the actual New Orleans.

    Where to get beignets now?

A bit off topic, but the last several times we’ve been to Cafe du Monde, they were pretty lackluster. They were lukewarm and suuuper greasy. We discovered a place in the market, just a few blocks down, that makes them to order so they’re hot and fresh. We won’t go back to CdM after trying...

    Disneyland newbie with Logistics/travel questions

We do, but we also travel with 5 or 6 people, 3 car seats, and lots of luggage. It’s like a pro-level game of Tetris to fit us all in, and Lansky does it with a smile. My husband usually handles the money part, but I think we tip roughly 20%.

    Disneyland newbie with Logistics/travel questions

I would second the rec for Lansky car service, particularly with small children. They have car seats and are very reliable.

    DAS on App

We had so much trouble with the app the last 10 days, including the DAS disappearing and reappearing issue. There didn’t seem to be any rhyme or reason to it - so frustrating. We never had to ask for help; it always showed up eventually. But I spent a lot of time on my phone trying to get it...

How good is Regal Eagle bbq?

You may have noticed I didn’t use the word “expert” :). Or the word “best”. But you are exactly right - and I know some of those same people!!

How good is Regal Eagle bbq?

Well, I’m from Texas and I’m going to have to say it’s not good (we have GREAT bbq in TX). But the Texas toast was fine, and probably the best part of the meal 😉.

Dining with 3 kids under 3

They didn’t ask how to manage it - I’m sure they’ve dined out with their children before. They asked for restaurant suggestions. OP, I think breakfast anywhere where there are still characters in some form or fashion is a good choice. I tend to think most Disney food is average at the very...

Prix Fixe = BS to me.

Being disappointed that an experience (not simply a meal) has turned into something that doesn’t work for your family anymore is not at all “expecting everything to cater to you”.

Can we talk about the elephant in the room?

I dunno, but a few bites of that really brightly colored rainbow ice cream almost ruined my son’s cloth diapers.
