    Bus - transportation Questions

So the transportation is good, but I have to disagree with some. I have had to wait for the second boat. I have had to wait for the next bus (internally) I have had to take "Alternate" routes (i.e. the bus to the Settlement, but then take the yellow bus to the Wilderness Lodge to catch...

    Overwhelmed (new) 🙄

Location, Location, Location. That is a big determining factor of the loops status. Plus the size of the concrete pads as well. Oh yeah, and $$$. The location may or may not be a factor depending on how you want to get around. If you have a golf cart (or bikes or something similar) the location...

    Last minute items!

I kind of agree with cruising spud. We camped locally at a campground when we first got our camper, at a campground (Knoebels) and they do not have water or sewer hookups (They do have a fill and dump station though), and although our trip was only a long weekend (4 days), it's amazing how...

*Truck and Towing thread........ask your questions here.*

I had a similar incident on my way home last Sunday from the Fort. I was in the Driving (left) lane and they were in the far Right lane (2 over from me) and decided at the last minute to cross all lanes and get of an exit (Rest Stop) and about near ran me off the road. Sadly, I almost expected...

    Question about water(at campsites)

As Cousin Ed C states, the water is horrible, but it is safe to drink (as PaHunter points out, not from the Green hose though). I have an in-line filter that helps, but it doesn't filter out the sulfur taste. I use it for cooking, but not so much for consuming. (Drinks, lemonade, etc...)

Taste of the tap water in the cabins?

Water systems with Sulfur (and Iron) need to be heavily chlorinated in a storage tank, which then attaches to the sulfur and iron in the water. it typically needs to have 30 minute of contact, then you have to put it through a large carbon filter to remove the now excess chlorine. On a...

Taste of the tap water in the cabins?

I used to sell water systems, (and have opportunities to test water from various filters) and Britta's are GREAT at removing dissolved contaminants from water. While I have had the opportunity to compare them against Sulfur water, the sulfur taste/smell in the water is a gas and as such the...

Taste of the tap water in the cabins?

We are at the campsites and for drinking, I use bottled water. I will use the tap water for cooking though without issue. I am surprised though that the water from the soda fountains does not have the sulfur taste.

You know I'm a squirrel guy...

Ironically. It hasn't been too bad temperature-wise. We did spot one of the NSS at the neighbor's box of goodies that they left conspicuously on their picnic table.

So I made it home late on Monday August 20th. August 21st was clean up (un pack, laundry, etc...) Still haven't gotten through all the pictures..... Back to work on Wednesday August 22. Since we were gone, we had lots of rain, which meant lots of grass growing. So Saturday (early) was me working...

    Kickin' it at the Fort

That's what I thought too... I know there weren't dozens, but I thought there were more than 4. Oh well.... I did find a point to get my legs up and kick back. :) Will be going back in December. Maybe get a chance to do it again, but I suspect it will be much more busy.

Break it in like you want to drive it. That's the advice I was given. My first new car was a Dodge Shadow Turbo 5 Speed that I picked up when I was in Germany (in the Military). I picked it in Bremerhaven Germany and had a 300 Mile Trip back to my base.... on the Autobahn.... 50 MPH wasn't...
