    MCO security lines....hmmmm

I got though TSA in around 30minutes a few weeks ago around 5:00 on the Southwest side.

    Food for flying - Suggestions?

I wouldn't worry about bringing a ham sandwich and it going bad. I bring sandwiches to work all the time that get stored without refrigeration and have never had an issue. I'm generally not a fan of grabbing a meal in my home airport. Prices are generally too expensive for what you get.

    how long for TSA security?

I'm also interested in this question, specifically what people's actual experiences are. I understand the airport suggests three hours. I'm curious where they expect most of that time to be spent at.

Changing Magical Express pick up time

I've decided for my trip in December to take an Uber back from Ft. Wilderness, giving myself 3hrs from calling the Uber to my flight. This is a weekend trip (fly in late Friday, back late Sunday) primarily to see family, so time is precious. Circumstances that effected my decision: 1. I will...

When are they going to fix the Monorail/EPCOT security glitch?

While I recognize that this can be kind of inconvenient for some guests, I'm not sure if I was Disney I would be worrying that much about this.

College Program vs PI vs Co-op

The relevance of the College Program relative to getting an engineering position with Disney will depend a lot on exactly what engineering position your son is looking at. Some of the engineering jobs that are part of park operations are biased towards individuals with hands on Disney operations...

WOULD YOU RATHER get a throwaway room at CBR/CSR or add waterparks to your tickets?

Can you explain the math on this? As someone who likes Ft. Wilderness, I'm not a huge fan of the "throwaway campsite" pattern, but I understand the economics of it. I have a hard time working out the math in my head for getting a throw away moderate every other night.

Reassure me about the week I picked? (week after Thanksgiving)

We've gone the weekend after Thanksgiving a few times (normally arriving Black Friday and leaving that Sunday.) In our experience, it feels like everyone flies back home on Saturday, and everything feels pretty empty. We also like going the first full week in December, it's a good time to get...

Someone told me the 2100 loop cabins are gone. True???

I also noticed there seemed to be a large variance in how big the sand area is.

    An RV and a tent?

We've put a tent behind our RV on a Premium site before, and didn't have a problem. The one thing to note is that the Premium sites don't have the sand pit in the back, so it can be a pain to stake the tent down. I like the full hook up sites better than some of the Premium loops, though we were...

    Hoop Dee Doo Day Question

OP, What time are you planning on heading over to the hotels? I think you could go to both Wilderness Lodge and Ft. Wilderness pretty easily, given you start the whole thing early enough. I think a lot of the people who are posting to focus on one are assuming you're heading over later than I...

Help Me Update My Tent Camping Set Up

Want to thank everyone for their support, I've taken all the advice to heart. The rest of this post is slightly off topic, but I'm not sure its enough to make a separate post. I went ahead and set the tent I used last time up in the backyard to allow it to air out before we head to the Fort...

Help Me Update My Tent Camping Set Up

Thanks for all the advice. For right now, I think I'm going to start with the cot. I'm currently looking at grabbing one of these from WalMart, because the price is right. https://www.walmart.com/ip/Ozark-Trail-Aluminum-Camp-Cot/42571981...

Near Orange County Conv Center and Universal

I stayed at the Hampton Inn near Universal one time and drove to the Convention Center from there. Drive was not bad at all. Coming back was a bit of a pain because I had to make a left turn to get into the parking lot.

Help Me Update My Tent Camping Set Up

Hi, I'll be heading down to the Fort this winter and am looking at spending a little bit of money upgrading my tent camping setup. My current set up is: · An Ozark Trail 4 person “Sundome” style tent · A light weight sleeping bag · A Coleman Blow Up sleeping pad I’m looking at either...

This plus the nice weather surely drove locals out this morning.

    Behind the Seeds tour

I really liked the tour when I went in December. I think I booked it 15 or 20 minutes before the tour started, and our tour was not full. The tour that left right after ours only had one family, and the tour before ours the guide said was also really empty.

Hotels on I-Drive and Convention Center

Hi, I'll be going to a conference at the OCCC and am looking for a decent, affordable hotel near the convention center. Would like to find something affordable and clean. Any decent suggestions? There seems to be no shortage of options on I-Drive, but I can't figure out what's quality and...
