Solo Disney cruisers, what does your typical day on the ship look like?

Simple beaches and maybe bike rentals are exactly what I'm looking for. CC, LC, another port, and a day at sea seems like a great option.

Solo Disney cruisers, what does your typical day on the ship look like?

I'm thinking of either a Castaway Cay double dip or a cruise with both Castaway and Lighthouse point. Those are a big reason why I want to pay the premium for Disney. I think most of those normally have one sea day, which sounds about perfect.

First Trip to Hawaii....lots of questions???

These rooms face the luau and still let you see the ocean in the distance, along with other resorts and lagoons: These rooms give you a view towards the island. Higher up rooms let you see further and are quieter: And these ones don't have the best view, but they're close to the quiet pool...

Smallest group size without triggering cancellation

I believe Disney was also running all trips right after resuming post-Covid, regardless of the number of people. They just wanted people to book.

    Universal Hollywood tips

Early entry is amazing. If you get there at the start, you can easily do Mario Kart twice with a shorter wait. You'll also have first dibs at Toadstool Cafe reservations and the games. I would prioritize the ride if you really want to do it twice, since the game lines aren't too bad later in the...

cannot for the life of me decide between Trattoria al Forno and Topolino's Terrace

With Topolino's, I think you're paying a premium for the view. If you like the Trattoria menu and aren't planning to watch fireworks from the top of Riviera, then I'd go there.

Best and Worst Lightning Lanes (timing)

The lines are the same, so it will be a similar experience to FP+ days. While these aren't objective, here are my favorite LLs: Big Thunder, Mine Train, Space Mountain, Peter Pan Frozen, Guardians in Epcot Runaway Railway and Rock n Roller Coaster in Studios Everest and Safari in AK Least...

Tips/ideas for couple trip - adult with mild mobility and cognitive issues

Most rides he can carry it on, and for the few he can't, there will be a place to store it near the ride exit. Since it sounds like he can get from the resort to the park without one, it should be easy. You can decide as you're walking into the park if you want to get a scooter or pushchair and...

passports renewal and getting the "real ID card

I recently did my passport by mail. I got photos at CVS and sent the application; passport came in the mail about a month later. My driver's license was automatically updated to a real ID when I renewed in 2020. All Michigan DLs are now real IDs, so everybody gets one. It's the only ID I need...

Current owners: Do you feel that renters are impacting resort availability?

I don't think so. In-demand times will always be hard to book for DVC, meanwhile late July has wide-open availability this summer. I think how people travel to Disney has changed, with more emphasis on special events and holidays and less on typical summer travel weeks.

Solo Disney cruisers, what does your typical day on the ship look like?

That is all great to know, thank you. I'm also an open to close park person and frequently get Genie+, so I was really concerned there would be stretches of time on the ship where I was bored. I've done cruises with other lines where the sea day entertainment was lacking, so I was wondering how...

First Trip to Hawaii....lots of questions???

In addition, there are a lot of things spread out on the north shore. You'd either need to take multiple Ubers or stick with one area. It's worth at least renting a car for 1 or 2 days.

Smallest group size without triggering cancellation

The minimum varies by trip. I've heard 12, 14, 18, and 20 before. But they aren't public, and might even depend on the time of year and how much the hotels and other things cost.

First Trip to Hawaii....lots of questions???

If you have the DVC points for it, staying at Aulani is a great option. The 1 bedroom villas are pretty large, and there are some great Island Garden view rooms you can request to help you stretch your points while still having a great trip. If that's not possible, and you have a rental car, I...

Solo Disney cruisers, what does your typical day on the ship look like?

Recently, I've been looking at taking my first Disney cruise. I'm a frequent solo traveler to both Disney and non-Disney destinations, so I'm comfortable doing things and eating on my own, but it seems like a lot of the experiences and activities on DCL are designed for groups and families. So I...

Definitely bring him to the clubs as soon as they open. That's when a lot of kids make their friend groups for the cruise, and it can be harder later on. The staff are also really good at pairing kids together.

Anyone go down a status matching rabbit hole?

I've done it to get some great rates on rental cars. Getting President's Circle for Hertz while paying for a discounted compact SUV was pretty nice. I also have Hilton and Marriott status through cards, but I've never tried the casinos.
