    Typhoon Lagoon Newbie questions

The wave pool will have periods where it acts like the ocean. Have seen numerous people sit down in the shallow part of the pool and get knocked over by the wave. your resort mug if you have one doesn’t work for soda, but you can get ice and water in it. There is an aqua coaster in south east...

MCO to Trattoria al Forno for Breakfast?

That seems too close especially with the traffic on I 4 in between Orlando and Disney World. Where are you staying at ? Is it in Crescent lake are or do you have to take your stuff to restaurant? I don’t think it’s a super hard ADR to get at a different time on another day especially since it’s...

cannot for the life of me decide between Trattoria al Forno and Topolino's Terrace

I would go to Trattoria since you like the menu better. There’s also that Italian restaurant in Swan/Dolphin.

Solo Disney cruisers, what does your typical day on the ship look like?

There are plenty of different activities. Especially on sea days. I did a 7 night cruise last November. Didn’t go to bingo, trivia or nightclubs at night. Still found stuff to do. I watched 3 Broadway shows, 3 movies in the theater, numerous characters meet and greets. I did some coloring, towel...

Last Minute trip for hubby and I! How to stretch our budget?

Don’t go to the character warehouse outlet on a Saturday it’s crazy busy. Also the regular stores like Target and Walmart will have Disney souvenirs cheaper than onsite. If you book a package, they send you vouchers for free mini golf before 4pm .

    Dress code for MDRs?

I’m a woman. I lost the hair on the top of my head from radiation treatment so I have sort of an off center friar tuck . I did my first cruise last November on the fantasy. I brought a sun hat, Red Mickey hat , Ginger bread Mickey Ears hat, a black flat hat for formal night. I wore all but the...

    Placeholder logistics

Week after Christmas is going to be super expensive because people go because the kids are out of school until new years . I would think for a 7 night cruise, you would want the littlest one to be 3 so they can go to kids club.

    Placeholder logistics

You could book Treasure when itineraries open for booking which should be the cheapest and most room choice and then cancel it if you’re not suited for 7 nights. You have 2 years to use the placeholder and if you don’t use it, you get your $250 back.

November or December for a Christmas trip? Plus Resort question

If you have not seen it before, candlelight procession is definitely something you should do once. They have dining packages for it that guarantees you a seat like they do with Fantasmic in HS. It’s a celebrity narrator telling the nativity story with an orchestra and choir.

November or December for a Christmas trip? Plus Resort question

Jingle cruise is just some decorations in the queue. Nothing like Disneyland haunted mansion where it becomes Nightmare Before Christmas. Nothing is dramatic as that in WDW Guardians was just changing the song for a Christmas song which they didn’t bother to do last Christmas.

November or December for a Christmas trip? Plus Resort question

Other than some Christmas lights in Living with the Land, WDW doesn’t really have any ride overlays like they do in Disneyland. I would go after Thanksgiving so you get the Festival of the Holidays at Epcot including the candlelight procession. That doesn’t start until Black Friday.
