Son - 5 yr old
Grandma - 61 yr old energetic grandma

We stayed at All- Star Sport, we faxed in our room request 3 days before coming down and got all of our requests. (touchdown 10, early check-in and 3rd floor)

Our favorite meal was Chef Mickeys, we did it the first night and this way we had Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Chip and Dale autographs. The longest lines in the park were for Mickeys and Minnies so we could always avoid these lines now that we had the autographs. The parmasian mashed potatoes were the best!!!

We went to EE of Magic Kingdom on Thurs 11/30 and rode 9 rides before 9:00 a.m. Going early saved us so much time. We went over to MGM in the afternoon and ate at Sci-Fi (we liked the food-go figure) Son loved the frisbee didn't really watch the movies except for the cartoons. We loved Osborne lights-it was awesome.

We got to AK on Fri 12/1 by 7:30 and we were one of the first ones on the Safari. We saw Tons of animals. A baby giraffe stood about 10 feet from me. We liked Bug's Life and Grandma and me enjoyed Lion King but son was bored. Try to sit near the front of Lion King so your kids can be picked to be in the show. The cinammon rolls at Tusker House are yummy!!

We did MVMCP on Fri night which was a sold out night and we went on a lot of rides. We did the 11:30 parade and got a seat right in front of the Main Street Bakery. Taking a nap was worth it on Fri afternoon so that son could stay up and he did till 1:30 a.m. We rode Buzz 3 times in a row. Do your picture first thing or wait really late until after midnight for no lines. MVMCP was one of our favorite things.

We ate at Whispering Canyon for lunch on Sat. 12/2 and thought the skillet lunch was very good. It is about 1/2 price at lunch time compared to dinner. Had a very nice server but really no jokes and such. The restaurant was very quiet. We were not disappointed because we still liked the food and my son loved playing with the Lincoln Logs and got to do a stick horse race.

Things I would do different on next trip-
Try to stay more days so that we could have a slower schedule.
Stay at All Star Movie because the decorations are so cute and Andy's room is great.
Get a fast pass earlier in the day for Fast track. The return time was too late for us to go back and do it.
Make a dinner PS for Fantasmic. We did not go because we decided to not waste 1 1/2 hours in line since we had such a short time in the park. Not sure that my 5 yr old would have loved it anyways but when I come back with my older children, I would do a dinner PS and then go in 1/2 hour early.
Did Downtown Disney twice-once on Wed. 11/28 and then stopped in on Sat. 12/2 on the way out to get a few things. Do Not do Downtown Disney on Saturday. It was Bonkers- too many kids, people, etc. Go on a weekday.

We had a wonderful trip and I just want to thank everyone for all of the suggestions, tips and help. I will miss not planning for this trip.

For the MVMCP you said you saw the second parade and got a seat in front of the BAkery. When did you line up for it. What about the fireworks? Where did you watch them from? Thanks!

We sat down about 10:45 and it was a perfect spot. Got a snack from the bakery and people watched-while the snow fell on us. I just looked at my papers and it says the parade started at 11:15 p.m. but it seems closer to 11:30 to me. The first parade is at 9:00 and as soon as people walked in at 7:30 they found a spot and sat down for the parade.

For the fireworks which are at 10:00]we sat right on the walkway on the side of the Crystal palace, facing the castle. It was a great spot because we could see the fireworks sitting down and they were really to the right of the castle but we could not see rudulph coming down from the castle right before the fireworks. So if you want to see that then I would stand more toward main street or even in that circle before the castle. People just stopped on main street wherever they were and stood and watched the fireworks. They were great!! :)

Thanks so much! We are leaving in 6 more days! We will be at MVMCP on Dec. 15th which is also sold out. I will write a trip report when I get back! Glad you enjoyed yours!

It sounds like you all had a great trip. :) MVMCP must have been really fun. Your ds is quite a trooper staying up that late. I hope you got to sleep in a bit the next morning.

We had lunch at the WCC and the waitress, Daisy, planted a big kiss on my 12 yo ds's cheek. <IMG WIDTH="15" HEIGHT="15" SRC="/infopop/emoticons/icon_redface.gif" alt="red face"> It was very funny. :D

Thanks for sharing your trip with us. Great tips.

Lisa :)
