Officially announced as of 11/7/2016:
Aventura Hotel

http://blog.universalorlando.com/whats-new/universals-aventura-hotel-2018/

In the summer of 2018, you’ll be able to step inside Universal’s Aventura Hotel – the next incredible addition to the Universal Orlando hotel collection. It will offer yet another value priced option when choosing from the wide range of hotels at our destination and will bring affordable-chic to life on-site.

You’ll arrive to a 16-story tower that soars through the Florida sky, with sunshine and clouds reflecting in its all-glass design.

If you’re wowed by the outside, just wait until you walk into the open, loft-inspired lobby, where the sunshine will stream in through 18-foot windows. Those same windows will also provide a view outside to the pool level. But we’re getting ahead of ourselves…

After checking in and grabbing a drink from the lobby bar, it’s time to check out your modern and serene guest room, designed with refreshing, natural colors – think sea blue and rose – to ease you into vacation mode. Gaze out your room’s floor-to-ceiling windows as all of Universal Orlando Resort spreads out before you. The first choice you’ll have to make after arriving at Universal’s Aventura Hotel is, “Where to first?”

Neighboring Loews Sapphire Falls Resort, Universal’s Aventura Hotel will be just steps away from Universal Orlando’s theme parks – Universal Studios Florida, Universal’s Islands of Adventure, and Universal’s Volcano Bay (opening early summer 2017). And all of it will be accessible by walking paths or complimentary shuttle service right from the hotel.

But the fun doesn’t end when you leave the theme parks. Unwind at the hotel with a soak in the crystal clear pool or poolside hot tub – with a cocktail from the pool bar, perhaps? Meanwhile, the kids expend the rest of their energy on the nearby splash pad.

When it’s time to eat, there will be plenty of choices within the hotel. On the lobby level, a casual food hall with five different cuisine options will appeal to all different taste buds. Have a seat and eat in, or grab and go back to your room.

The area of the hotel I know I’m most looking forward to is the rooftop bar, a first at Universal Orlando. Here you’ll be able to enjoy craft cocktails and small plates while soaking in the incredible panoramic views – you’ll almost be level with the tip of nearby Krakatau, the 200-foot-tall centerpiece of Universal’s Volcano Bay.

Need a quick pick-me-up before heading to Universal CityWalk for the night? Starbucks will be ready with your venti in the lobby on your way out the door.

And, of course, guests staying at Universal’s Aventura Hotel will receive Early Park Admission to Universal’s theme parks as well as complimentary on-site transportation.

We’re thrilled to introduce Universal’s Aventura Hotel to you today. You can start making reservations in just a few short months. In the meantime, start dreaming about being one of the first to stay at this stunning, new hotel.

Actually I am very interested in that hotel. I like that they are going to have another hotel with a food court. The one issues that we have with the hotels at Universal hotels is the food options. And an aside I like Jake's and Sals. I hope that there are fun things to do at the hotel such as like at CB.

No Lazy river though. Darn it.

Only using 6 acres:confused3going to be bit of a tight fit me thinks. They've did a great job with SF, hope this one is up to same standards.

I love seeing the parks expand! Disney has held a monopoly for so long...good to shake things up and give more people, more options!

Nice hotel but I'm a bit disappointed/bothered by the lack of (virtually none) theming for this hotel. You wouldn't be able to tell that this was even a Universal hotel at all at a glance. Their take on the Contemporary, I guess? :confused3

I thought it resembled Bay Lake Towers, too. It does seem very...upscale/business looking, for what is being touted as a value-option. Hopefully there is more theming to come...

Right now it screams "Hilton at Universal" or the like..

Do you think this will be above or below Cabana Bay in terms of pricing? I doubt this will be priced the same given how different it is from Cabana Bay.

From what I have read and told, it should be a value resort

I knew that but I'm looking to know if it's going to be above or below CBBR as a value resort, pricewise. SF and RPR are considered being in the same category as one another despite having completely different price point and amenities (at least on Universal's official site). HRH and PBH are in their own category and have different prices.

I'm thinking it might be cheaper than Cabana Bay's rooms considering it's not going to have the bells and whistles of Cabana Bay.

At the time when the hotel was planned, I was told it would be a step below Cbay

Now more info is out, I believe that is the case

My info came from a few people working in management
And, info I was told has been about a year ago so do not know if what was on the drawing board then is absolutely true today

From what has been released, it will have less amenities than Cbay

I assume bus transportation and walking path will be the main way to reach the other two parks

With it being close to Volcano Bay, assume it will meet the needs of families that would spend more vacation time for water activities

Little by little, more info will be coming out

The word is getting out. Hope it doesn't turn in WDW. We love USO!
Does anyone else worry that Unuversal is becoming so big. I like it compared to Disney since it's fun and relaxing at the same time. With the growth of hotels there will be so many more people in the parks. I guess Volcano Bay and possibly additional parks would help.

Yep, pcstang and I were having that conversation this weekend. They are getting to big and it's no longer going to be relaxing and a deal.

Here is the site.
