Bounceback Travel Agent Question

I have a WDW resort stay booked with a travel agent. During my stay, if I choose to make a bounceback reservation, can I make it independently, or does the reservation have to end up with my travel agent?

I'm only using a travel agent to get a resort discount, so if I can get a good bounceback discount from Disney, I'd rather have the reservation be completely mine, rather than have to access it via a third party.

You can book the bounceback yourself because it has to be done before you check out.

I'm not even sure a TA can book a Bounceback. I guess maybe they can call for you while you are there but I am not sure that would even work. I don't think doing that would make the reservation under the umbrella of the agency.
So you will do it yourself, no problems at all. The problem would be trying to do it any other way.

Sometimes the CM will ask if you want to retain the agency on your new reservation, but not all do. You can book without the TA or with the TA information, just let the CM know.
