DDP and MDE

We decided we are going to add the DDP to our upcoming reservation. I understand that it will not show up in the MDE app. Does anyone know if Disney will charge your credit card for CRT or other dinner shows if you book them online or will you get an option to indicate you want to use DDP credits when booking?
