Back in 86 when Captain EO first opened my mom took me to DL and we were eating breakfast in the
Disneyland hotel, and my mom noticed the local News reporter sitting across from our table, the man heard my mom recognize him and came over and asked if we were from Carmel, my mom said yes, and he had a sigh of relief on his face, he told us he was sent to DL to find someone from Monterey County and interview them and follow them around DL and do a story about traveling to DL, So after that they took us into DL before anybody else, we got to ride a bunch of ride, then when the park opened they took my mom to the top of space mountain and interviewed her with Michael Eisner about Captain EO and DL, then followed us around the park all day with cameras and let us ride all the ride without waiting in line, people must have thought we were famous or something, ANYWAYs, if they would do that for us,just a couple of regular people, im sure they pull out all the stops for Famous people.
