Is EP needed May 13-20 if you are allowing 3 days in the parks? How crowded is it? We would get there early. Just trying to decide if Hard Rock is worth 622 more over Sapphire Falls.

    Thanks!

Florida school are on the last week of school and Disney is supposed to have their new Toys story land ready to open, Universal won’t be that crowded, I would instead try single riders lines, they are free and help a lot.

We are planning on a May 22-25th Trip, and I was just able to score an amazing deal at RPH with AP rates. 199 a night.

I am headed down May 6-10... I believe we should be okay with single rider and early entry. We are staying at Cabana Bay Beach so no EP but I am hoping we won't need them.

The earlier in May the better. I have been going the last 2 weeks of May for past few years and the crowds have been growing during that time. I would not be without EP at that time.

We are also going those exact same dates, staying at Cabana Bay  I figured we wouldn't need the EP, we'll do single rider if necessary. And if worse comes to worst, we can always add EP while we're there.

Gotcha! We are there Sunday - Thursday!
Yay!! I am bringing my son home from college in Ft. Lauderdale so I figured this would be a nice start to his summer break! Since its just me and him (20 years old) single rider is no issue. Pretty sure I am going to upgrade to season pass once we get there...we only live 7 hours away!!

I was there in early December with only my daughter, staying offsite for 2 days. We enjoyed all the rides and went Single rider as needed. No problem, as many are virtual reality anyhow.
You don't have to have the AP pass in hand to book the AP rate, so you can compare prices without it. We got a great rate at Portofino Bay with AP for May 20+ and think it's worth it for the EP. Go to the AP section of the Universal website to see hotel deals.

Thanks for the AP comparison tip!! I did actually check AP prices, but the SMSM rate so far has been better for these dates. I am going to keep checking though and have no problem switching hotels if I can snag a better rate!

I don’t know if their needed but there completely worth it. I did both parks in a day with that express pass with time to spare. Road everything
