I tried to get a straight answer Via Online chat, since calling seems to be a nightmare right now. All they said that they could tell me was that Tier II was covered under the dining plan, but they said that's all they could say Via Chat. Nothing about Tier I. It says "select Disney Dining plans not accepted" when I try to book in the upper right hand corner when confirming my guests, but some of the dinner packages say that even if they are accepted under the dining plan. I understand it's probably going to be 2 Table service Credits, which is fine. I planned on Going to Tiffins that day anyway, so it's a bonus for my SO and I. Anyone get a straight answer on this?

Someone asked this same question in the comments on the Disney Parks Blog announcement post, and the post's author replied. The Tier II can be reserved with two dining credits, but Tier I is not covered with the DDP.

Tier1 is not covered in the DDP so can someone please tell me the cost and anyone do this yet?

We did this last a October and had a great experience. 99$ per person. Front row at the show and a private safari as no one else had booked the package for that time. We were not using the dining plan but I do know a tier 1 was not included. There is another thread with several reviews; mine included.

Awesome to hear, and because I am lazy do you have a link?

neither could I. I asked last Sept and got a happy answer with no detail and no information. Look, you can get a decent seat at Lion King even with stand by. I've done stand by multiple times and been happy with may seat every time because of the theatre layout. You alone have to decide if paying a premium is at all worth it. Not worth it IMO.

Well it is IF you want the Savanna tour as Tier I is as follows....
1) the FOLK with front row seats
2) Lunch or Dinner at Tiffins
3) The Savanna
Continue the fun with a safari tour to the African outback, where over 34 distinct wildlife species seemingly roam free. Escorted by a special guide, you’ll ride through rugged terrain to see some of the world’s most exotic animals in their unique habitats. Tour guides will provide interesting information on the land and its residents for an expedition you’ll never forget!
