My two sons and I just did our volunteer service today helping out at a shelter for abused women and it was a wonderful experience. Although my wife and I give money quite happily to various charities each year, I had never actually gone out and done any volunteer service.
Seeing firsthand how much our efforts were appreciated was particularily gratifying, an experience you don't really get when you just make a monetary donation.
I was quite pleased to see how hard my two sons worked and how seriously they took this whole undertaking. Sure they will enjoy using the FastPasses, but not once did the topic come while we were helping out.
Disney got us started. Now it is up to us to continue what they started. I encourage everyone to give it a try.
