Have you ever won $$$ in a lottery?

I bought a scratch off last night and won $8. Woot woot!

Friends of the family won a share of huge jackpot years ago, the daughter was part of a weekly office pool to buy tickets.

I think $8 may be the most I've ever won, but I don't play it that often to have a big sample size. Usually play when I feel like I'd rather be on an island instead of at work...

I never buy scratch tickets, but years ago, my state used to mail coupons for scratch tickets to homes. My mom got them and used the "free" ticket ones, but didn't want to spend $3 (and use a $2 coupon ) for a $5 ticket. She gave me the coup. and I bought one and won $500 dollars. Yes I gave her half the winnings!

I win small amounts pretty frequently. Of course I spend more than I win. A few days ago I cashed in $19 of winning tickets and bought a $5 scratcher, taking the rest in cash. That scratcher won $10.

I've won $2 twice, and won another scratch card. But I never got around to actually collecting.
I've yet to attempt the Powerball.

$500. here. It was in the first few draws of an Ontario, Canada draw. We had 4 of 5 numbers had just moved into our first home, it was 1975. $500. paid for our backyard chain link fence.

The following year the lottery corp. was doing really well and increased the payout. 4 out of 5 numbers won $5,000 Unfortunately we didn't win again.

Nope. My mom used to give me scratchers in my Christmas stocking. Not a one of them ever won. To be honest, it's probably the best thing that could have happened seeing as how I don't play the lottery.

$12 once. But I consider it cheap entertainment. I don't go spending hundreds on them. But for $2 I can live a fantasy.

Early on with the California Lottery my parents got $100. That was back when they had a single scratcher game at a time, and the Big Spin participants were selected from a drawing of $100 winners. They didn't get in though.

I won $100 on a scratch off once. My sister buys them all the time, and on a whim I put 2 bucks in the lottery machine when she was buying her tickets, and I won. I never buy them, usually. I get them in my Christmas stocking every year from my aunt, never won more than a free ticket or 2 bucks at most.

I might have won $10. I remember years ago when I was working at a liquor store and we sold tickets. One night, a regular came in in, and he ended up playing through an entire roll of tickets. He'd buy a couple of tickets, maybe he'd win some, than buy more tickets, and when he'd lose, he still bought more tickets. I'm quite sure that he paid more than he won too.

I have won $50 a couple of times back when I did scratch offs which has been way over 15 years ago.

I don't bother with scratchers. My wife's step dad did win $5,000 on a scratcher.
To me the Lottery is for life changing prizes. Any drawing where the jackpot is less than $25 million I don't bother with. I think the most I have ever one is $20, but I do win a lot of $1 and $2 prizes.

So, Aug 2019 I played the Lucky for Life lotto. It is 5 numbers and a lucky ball. But they pull from less than, say, Powerball. So easier to win. I had 4 of the 5 numbers. ANd the 5th number was 20 and I had 21. If I had gotten that 20 I'd have won $25,000 a year for life. But I got 21 so I won $200. SO frustrating!

The post funeral dinner we had for my Dad was at his boat club place and they had a machine with scratchers. Some of us bought some and there were winners so I bought several and ended up winning like $250 total there that day.

I won 2 bingos on cruises. One was for a free cruise and the other was like $250 credit on our tab.

Guess I am pretty lucky. But never lucky enough to win HGTV's dream home giveaway that I've entered faithfully for years.

The most I ever got was a few dollars on a scratcher.
Me too.

I won $300 at a Casino the first time I went. I put in $20 (my limit) and after a few rounds/spins whatever I was at $350. I cashed it out. Put the $300 away and continued to play with the rest. It was a fun day. Another time I won the person I was with $1,000 (I hit the button when he won it).

I was one of the winners of the billion + Powerball or whatever it was. My portion was $14.

I currently have a $20 scratch-off that was part of my birthday gift from my daughter. It's still sitting with a $27 winner on a recent Powerball.

Me too! Aren't we lucky Mr. Rodgers?

I won $400 in a special holiday drawing that my state did a few years ago. I usually only buy scratchers around the holidays. Instead of dropping them in to stockings last year, I created a scratcher advent wreath, so each person pulled one out at dinner in rotating order for 24 days. There is no way my family will NOT let me do that again. They loved it! No one won big, but overall we did come out ahead!
