About a year ago, some wonderful person on this board gave me a recipe for spritz cookies. They were the only ones I've ever made that didnt need to be refrigerated, and didn't stick, crumble or fall apart while being pressed. If you're out there......please post it again. Thanks in advance.

Meem......I'm not sure if it was me or not, but I did post this recipe last year. These don't stick, crumble, fall apart...etc, etc. The dough does benefit by putting the bowl into the fridge between pressings (lets face it, a hot kitchen and butter is a disaster) but needs no long term refrigeration. The secret? No egg.

Here it is.

Cookie Press Cookies - aka Spritz cookies

1 lb butter

1 cup sugar

4 cups flour

1 teaspoon vanilla

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

Mix well. Load into press. Bake at 350 degrees.

For some reason I keep thinking there was no flour.............sometimes I'm really duh though.
