My park tickets arrived last week and our reservations have been made for Best Western Park Place Inn. Now all I have to do is get through the next couple of weeks! We are flying into Vegas on the 16th and then on to John Wayne on the 23rd. We purchased 4 day hoppers.

Any idea of what to pack clothing wise? I have only been to DL once and that was in June of 2001 and the weather was fabulous! Any idea how the crowds are going to be by that time in the week?

I'm going to be there that same time (first time out there, and solo at that!), so I'd love any tips about the weather too.
Hey, Pinnie, are you planning on stopping at the DVC kiosks to see if you can get any "gossip" about their future? I sure am!

Any idea of what to pack clothing wise?

If you go early in the morning, it'll be kinda cool, maybe a sweatshirt with shorts. Hot for the day, then if you stay/go back in the evening for fireworks, it might be cool again.

Me, I think 70 is too hot so we only need tshirts and shorts. I might bring a light sweatshirt for my youngest, but that's about it.

I'm envious! We too are staying at the BWPPI, but not going till the first week of August. Have a great time!

As a matter of fact, a friend of ours is going along on the trip and he has an aquaintance that transfered from DVC in WDW to DVC at DL and plans to have dinner with her. So I may have a scoop or two.

For the longest time I couldn't decide between the HoJos and BWPPI. I'm staying at HoJos and still not sure, but the mousesavers special made me decide. Can't wait to see DS, who's finally fulfilling his/my dream of performing at Disney. Especially since a very nice DISer sent me pictures from his performances-now I really can't wait!
Even though it's several days after the 17th, I'm so afraid of the parks reaching capacity and closing if I take a break and leave for a little while, so then I can't get back in. Anyone with any comments on the odds of that happening?

Have fun while in Vegas! Win some extra souvie money. Weather here is hot in the morning, hotter in the afternoon, and back to plain old hot in the evenings! LOL! Truthfully, we sit on the patio every evening, and it is downright pleasant once the sun goes down. You won't need anything besides shorts and sleeveless, unless excessive ac bothers you---then bring a light sweather/capris for casino time.

We are heading to DL in the next few weeks, too. I always bring a jacket for the evenings. Maybe it's the dampness, but my kids are always a bit cool by parade/fireworks time.
