We just got back from 7 days in FL - one of which we spent at US.
We all loved Universal! My DD's (7 & 9) really loved Curious George. They got soaked and were thrilled! Thanks to these sites, I knew to put them in bathing suits. The only things we didn't go on were Twister and Kongfrontation. We did MIB, BTTF, T3D, Earthquake, Jaws, ET, etc. We saw all of the shows except the Blues Brothers.
We got to the park around 9:15 and stayed until close at 6.
I was very happy to pay almost reasonable prices for food, snacks, and t-shirts. After 5 days in WDW, it was refreshing to encounter non-ridiculous prices.
We didn't do IOA, because neither of my DD's is the incredibly brave sort. Maybe next time.
