We returned home on Sept. 23 after 7 nights at Pop. Our stay was wonderful. Had a King bed in the 50"s building.
We always used AoA food court & buses. closer to our room, no problems.
Went to DTD twice, drove both times and used the new Orange parking garage. Super easy! There are signs that tell you how many spots are open in row and the spot is marked with a green light to let you know it's open. Once parked, we used the water taxi to get to the Marketplace for shopping and it was a nice short ride. Very easy!! Do not be afraid to go there by car or bus!
We also drove passed DTD many, many times to go to the Character Warehouse, Theme Park Connection, restaurants and etc and never had a problem with the traffic.
The parks were not empty but manageable. Waits were 40 to 60 minutes on many things.
We lucked out on the weather. Had a little rain the first and second day and completely dry the rest of the stay, but the rain clouds were moving back in the morning we were leaving.

Booked the Future Stay program for FD next Sept. Yeah!!!
I will be happy to try and answer any questions.

This is really good news. We have always drove to DTD because the bus situation from there is a nightmare no matter what resort we have tried. But I was afraid to last year, took the bus, and it was a nightmare again. We were thinking of avoiding DTD this year because of it. If driving is an option again I'd be thrilled since the kids really want to go to DQ one last time.

They have put in two lanes on the right to take you right up to the parking garage if you're coming from most of the resort areas. The exit lanes run right in front of the TL entrance.
Looks like the second parking garage will be done soon as well. The walk ways over Buena Vista drive are just about ready too.

No, the food court and bus stop for AOA is not closer to the 50's buildings at Pop Century than Pop's own food court and bus stops. Not even if you can walk on water. Just checked it out on Google Maps.

Well, we drove over to to Animation Hall and left our cups in the car. The parking lot for the 50's buildings and AoA main lot are connected.
After returning from the parks, we'd drop our bags at the car and refill our mugs or have a meal there.
