Just booked 1st ever Xmas Universal trip

We're AP holders and we had a free night at Hard Rock, so I booked a week stay in mid December. Not telling kids until morning we leave. As a huge fan of Seuss Landing, I can't wait to see it for Christmas.

Staying on site during the holiday season was probably my favorite vacation ever. You will have an absolute blast!

Best vacation we had was an early December stay at Hard Rock. The Grinch breakfast is great, we booked earliest time and was awed! All of the employees definitely stay in character and the banter back and forth with my kids anytime they asked about the Grinch was incredible. It started with us asking innocent directions to the Grinchmas stage show and became so much more as our time progressed.

For whatever reason, we also LOVED the gigantic tree in Universal Studios in the New York are back towards the Jimmy Fallon area.

We did December at Universal last year and it was great, the lights and decorations both in the parks, and at the Hard Rock are fantastic. A few of the mornings and evenings were quite cool, even though it could get up to the 80's by midday. So I ended up buying a hoodie for each of us, so something to consider packing. That was one vacation where the folks in the HP robes and scarves looked comfortable for the weather.
