OH MY GAWD..... IN ONE DAY I WILL BE ON THE WONDER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:teeth: :sunny: :Pinkbounc :earsgirl:

Can you tell I am excited? I am more excited this time, then I was for my first Disney cruise...

Anyway, these are my last minute question.. I know they have been asked a million times.. but I could really use the advice!

1) Friend an I want to go to Atlantis... I know we can catch a cab there... where is the best place to catch the cab? Approx how much SHOULD it cost, so we know how much to barter with the cabbie... will they take US dollars? And once we are at Atlantis, where do we catch the cab back to Port. Is this a safe way to travel? We are a little nervous about it.. any advice about the cab-catching is appreciated.

2)We want to do a little gambling at Atlantis.. how does that work? Do you bring cash? Can you use a credit card? We just want to play slot machines.. so how will that work out, what kind of money should we plan on having?

3) Do you think it will be a problem for me to pack my little hand-held tornado mixer to make drinks with? We were thinking Pina Coladas out on our veranda would be really nice...

4)Whe you tip.... and you want to go over the suggested amount, what would be considered a nice extra tip? I guess how much extra do you give for GREAT service...

Hmm... I think that's it. I CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!!!!!! WOOOHOOO 10/27 Cruisers, cheer me on!!!!!!!

I can help with #3 and #4. :)

#3. Yep, bring it along, not a problem. Just put it in your checked bags in case the airlines think it's a weapon. ;)

#4. Hmm, depends, we've tipped anywhere from 10% to 25% OVER the recommend amounts depending upon the level of service.

Have a WONDERFUL cruise!!! :sunny:

I can help with #1 and #2. My DS10 and I took a cab to Atlantis. It was very safe. We walked right off the ship and there were cabs waiting. It cost us $4 each plus the $1 bridge toll. Coming back, you go to the front where they dropped you off and get in line. The cabs are lined up and you just get in the next one. There were some limos too and they would carry up to 8 passengers or so back to the ship. They take US dollars and I believe we tipped a dollar or two extra.
As far as gambling, I didn't get to do much since I was with my son, but they do take US dollars...it's just like a casino in Las Vegas. I had 5 quarters in my pocket, put all 5 in a machine as I was walking by and won $30. Paid for lunch and the cabs so we came out even.
Have a WONDERful time...I am so jealous.
