Late Fall 2017 Room Only Discount: Waiting, Watching, Dreaming & Planning Thread

It appears fairly certain that as in past years the Room Only discount that will release in April will only include dates into early fall 2017.

So this thread is for those of hoping for Room Only discounts for LATE FALL 2017 trips to Walt Disney World resorts.

Please clearly mark rumours as such.

This post will be updated as we learn some concrete info.

I'm waiting for the end of October. Rumors are that it will be like last year & the second wave of fall RO will be for a smaller % off. Oh well wait & see every little bit helps!

Watching as well! Stay dates 12/3-12/9. Currently at POR, I know sometimes they are excluded, but fingers crossed. If not, might look into other resorts.

Yup, watching waiting wishing and hoping! I did book a free dining package this morning, but the best I could get is mid December. I really want mid November, specifically 11/12-11/18. That doesn't qualify for free dining, so come on 30%! We want to stay Contemporary Theme Park View, that's what I booked for December.

Its hard to decide how much more to spend to get what you want. It's like a snowball effect. It reminds me of house renovations, the costs just grow and grow! If I'm paying CR TPV, I might as well pay a little more to get the dates I really want. If I get RO 30% the total (with paying for DDP) will be $330 more than my FD booking. That's not too bad, I guess. But if no discount it's like $1500 more, cost of dining plan. Yikes!

In 2016 the late fall offer was:

date range: 11/6/16 – 12/23/16
10%-20% off room-only rates for the general public (specific % varied by hotel)
(blacked out 11/11/16-11/12/16, 11/23/16-11/25/16)
released 8/8/16
had to book by 10/8/16

I expect max. discount to be 25% and released next week. Free dining was released yesterday for the fall, but they blocked out the entire month of October....
