Thursday, 11/9

We slept in a little bit because DQ didn't open until 10:30. Mom and the boys went to the hotel breakfast buffet (which btw was pretty good and saved us lots of money) and then found a table to eat and work on homework. Eeyore and I stayed upstairs and got ready. Mom, Buzz, and Pluto rode the HIFS train that went around the outside of the hotel complex.

We got to DQ around 11:30. Dad, Buzz, Eeyore, and I went straight to CyberSpace Mtn. Mom and Pluto did the interactive activities like Magic Mirror, Sid's Create-a-toy, and the Living Easels. Then they watched us ride the roller coasters that we created. (btw, if you make a roller coaster that goes upside down, you might want to wear your hair up) We all did the Aladdin virtual reality game. Then we went downstairs and did the Jungle Cruise (Eeyore and I fell on top of each other) and the Pirates thing. Then we attempted to do the Inca Treasure game, where you drive a car through a maze that is under the floor, but it was pretty hard. We tried to help each other by watching the cars and yelling what way to go, but it was still hard.

After this, we went back up to the 3rd floor, and did the mighty ducks pinball slam. This game wears you out. We did some of the arcade games, and then Dad, Eeyore, Buzz and I did the Buzz Lightyear's Astro Blaster. Our car got stuck in a corner for like half of the ride, but other than that it was fun. Pluto was frustrated because he wasn't tall enough to ride, so mom took him up to the midway games. We all played these and got lots of tickets. By this time it was mid-afternoon and we had not eaten lunch yet. We had a coupon 4 Rainforest Cafe that had to be used before 6, so we left DQ and walked across Pleasure Island to Rainforest Cafe.

We got there around 4 and walked right in. We were seated in the gorilla room, near some swinging monkeys. We all enjoyed the atmosphere in this restaurant, but Pluto didn't like the thunderstorms. The food was pretty good, and the service was okay- our waitress wasn't that great, but the others seemed good. It wasn't too expensive because we had the coupon and some of us shared meals. We didn't get dessert because we wanted to go to Ghirardelli later. After we ate we looked around in the Rainforest store for a little while. We then walked to the World of Disney store, where we looked for t-shirts and gifts for friends. Dad took the boys to the Lego store to play for a little while, and Mom and the girls met them there later. When we finally pried the boys away from all the legos, we went to get dessert at Ghirardelli. It was wonderful. Mom and Buzz shared a Fog Horn (chocolate ice cream w/ hot fudge and raspberry sauce), Dad and Eeyore each got a Domingo (banana split type thing), and Pluto and I got milkshakes. VERY good chocolate milkshakes!

Then we rode the boat back to the west side and went back to DQ. Dad, Buzz, Eeyore and I rode the Alien game, and Dad and Buzz also did the Comix. Eeyore and I did another CyberSpace Mtn. (we like that ride) and Dad and the boys rode the Jungle Cruise again. We traded in all the tickets from the games for prizes, and sent
e-mail cards to friends on the computers in the Wonderland cafe. We looked around in the DQ store, and Buzz and Pluto both designed their own t-shirts and had them made. We talked to the CM while the t-shirts were being made, and he said that he sees Fantasmic almost every week and that you don't really need the PS. He said the restaurants are expensive and the seats aren't worth it. He suggested that we just be there about an hour before the show and we would still get fairly good seats. When the t-shirts were done, we went back to HIFS and swam in the pool.

Next- Day 4:MGM

Thanks for the great report. You are doing a great job.

Sounds like a fun day at DQ.
