***Official Super December 2018 Thread***

Hello everyone going to the World Dec 28th-1/3 staying at AoA in a Cars suite with my husband, Son (8), Daughter (4), Mother in Law and Brother in law. We have all been multiple times and once before this same time frame about 10 years ago. My Mother in law wanted to go again this year because her husband (not my father in law) passed away and their anniversary was New Years Eve. Last time we went we spent NYE Inn epcot and they had fireworks at midnight. Doesn’t look like that is offered anymore , are NYE festivities only at MK?
 




Now that it's less than a month until ADR time, I was thinking about dining at places to coincide with resort decorations touring. So far I'm thinking about Ale & Compass or Yachtsman for the Boardwalk area. The wave for the MK resort area. Sanaa for AKL and Artist Point for WL. Are there any other Value, Moderate or DVC resorts that should not be missed?

Southwest flights come out Thursday so I’m planning to attack that this week...I feel like I’ve been waiting forever, lol. My ADR date is in June - I have a rough draft ready but I have some narrowing down to do.
 
I know many of you are veterans and have similar strategies and a few websites mention things like this, but felt with all our ADRs coming up, this might be helpful to some. When making your ADRs here is a strategy I go with.

1. Make sure you go to https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/dining/ and do practice runs for making reservations prior to when your ADRs open up so that you don’t fumble around the process at the time you need to do this quickly. Its important to know the flow you will be going through when the time comes and you have to do this for real.

2. Make sure to create a word doc or something similar where you can just type out the important information and just <copy+paste> the info into the website when making your reservations as this helps speed up the process for you if you have to make several reservations.

3. In this word doc, have the following information on it:

a. The dates on which you plan on making any reservation in the following format <MM/DD/YYYY>

b. The restaurant name (or alternately if your quick at the keyboard, just type the first few letters of the restaurant name and it will appear in the drop down)

c. Your credit card number with no spaces <XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX>

d. Your credit card number expiration date in the following format <MM/YY>

e. Your CVV number for your credit card​

4. Start hitting the site a min or two before they open up at 6am Eastern time (phones for Disney open an hour later but try not to have to resort to the phones as some of the harder to get restaurants may be gone by then)

5. Make sure you prioritize the restaurants you want first. You dont have to go in sequential date order. So if in the middle of your stay, you want dinning at Be Our Guest and on the first day of your stay you want BOMA, make sure to go for the Be Our Guest reservation first, as its much tougher to get than a reservation at BOMA.
 
So stoked to be jumping onboard! This mountain mama is packing up the mountain man and two sons (5 and 1) to head to the place of Magic December 6th-15th at SSR :moped: we are driving from WV and planning on 5 park days and two universal days! :dancer:party: I seriously can’t wait:disrocks:
