We leave in two days...has anyone done this?
If so, was it worth the money and would you do it again?
I am seriously considering it, but its pricey!
Should I just say..."because I'm worth it"...???

My DH and I did it last year on our 4day Wonder cruise. We had one of the first appts of the day, and it was sooo worth it. The only thing I would change if we decide to do it again is to not fall for the sales pitch the masseuse gives when you're done. I know that no matter where you go, home or abroad, it's part of their job to sell you products, but that's where most of the cost ends up coming in. So I would say, do it, enjoy it and then just walk away....no products. :)

We had cabana massages on our Oct 02 Wonder honeymoon trip. It is SOOO pricey, but we loved every second. I had the "spa taster" and DH had some combo massage that he made up on his own. They were very flexible on what areas could be worked. He opted to skip the leg portion to have an extended scalp massage.

We haven't decided if we will do it again....although we have time to think about it! It will probably depend on what we choose to do for shore excursions, etc...Our bill for the massages was around $300 with tip, so we will have to think about it! If I were you, splurge if it fits your budget. It is very enjoyable:cool:

We've done this (DH and I) as a couples spa taster. Although I don't regret it, I wouldn't do this again because it was much more $$ than if we go the couple's spa taster onboard.

We also did the Surial which was something we'd do again! ;)

We did this on our cruise last September and both agreed that we wouldn't do it again. The view is beautiful (your head is down on the massage table so you can't take advantage of it though . . .) and it seems like a waste of part of the day on Castaway Cay that is all too short as it is.

My wife, mother-in-law and I had cabana massages on our 7 day eastern. Each of us enjoyed it immensely. The open air and breeze made it sooooo relaxing. I have read about others who were annoyed by loud speaking people either on the beach or in the nearby cabanas. That would definitely impact the tranquility of the whole experience. However, if it's within your budget and you're not too rushed to enjoy the rest of casatway cay, then I say go for it. As you noted, it is very pricey, so I probably will not do it again, but it's such a unique experience that I think you should give it a try. Have fun!

Thank you everyone, for your input. It is greatly appreciated!
We leave tomorrow, bright and early. WOO HOO!!!

Thanks Loretta!!! That feels so odd, feel like I am talking to myself...
I think I AM going to do it! How often do you get the chance to do something like this?
Thanks for the boost...

Sign up for the massages upon boarding. Reservations are usually taken in the spa starting at about 12:30 or 1--check your navigator upon boarding.

Yes. And be sure to get there quickly...Cabana Massages fill up fast!

Sorry it took me a while to respond, wasn't on the computer all weekend.

The price for the couples cabana side by side massage(spa taster) was $115 per person, so $230 per couple. But you don't have to be a "couple" to enjoy the services at the cabana's.

We opted for one of the first appointments of the day so we were sure to wake up nice and early to enjoy CC. Our appt was at 9AM, approx 50min of massage, 10-15min talking....then we had the entire rest of the day to enjoy CC, plus we were very relaxed and refreshed and ready to go after the massages.

We probably could have gotten away with just the $230 plus tip...but I'm such a sucker for spa products and they are always so expensive, no matter where you go...so b/n DH and I, our bill came to $450...but in defense of my inability to say no thank you...we have used every product and I actually wouldn't mind picking up the Devil's Mint Body Scrub again. :)

That's exactly what we did...first appointment of the morning. We were EXTRA relaxed for the rest of the day at CC!
