Players Cards?

As a couple, do we need our own cards or can we share one? We're not planning on dropping big bucks, but I hear you don't have to play a lot to get something back...

If you sign up for cards, you will each get your own. They won't let you play on each other's cards. You can get around this by only one of you playing at a time at a slot machine.

When each of you sign up ask to have the cards linked. You can then collect on each card and use all of the points together.

You collect points on the cards by showing it at restaurants and shops in the casinos. You also get some discounts by showing the card ($5 off 24 hour Buffet of Buffets for example).

You can also opt in to receive mailings and emails for specials and discounted rooms for future visits.

You do not have to be a heavy gambler to get small perks and anything helps.

We go to LV at least once per year and have a ton of player's cards. We normally rent a car and will go to a lot of the casinos off-strip.

The best couple of trips were the first years we had the American Casino Guide (book with coupons you can buy) ... lots of coupons for free play when you sign up for a players card. Many other coupons for 2-for-1 on buffets, etc if you have a players card.

Keep in mind that many of the strip properties use the same card ... MGM Mirage has Mlife cards ... good at NYNY, MGM, City Center, Excalibur, etc

The CET/Harrahs properties have the another card for their casinos (Cesears, Planet Hollywood, Paris, etc).

When it comes to slot machines, it won't matter if you have your own cards or use each other's card because nobody will be checkingt he cards wen you put them in the machines. Once you put them in the machine, they'll start to count points. Now if you sit at the table, you will need your specific card. Keep in mind that you can link points as a family but each individual card is revieed separately for deals.

For example, my wife and I have seaprate cards and she mostly gambles on the slots whereas I gamble on the tables. Whenever she gambles, she'll use her card or if she forgets, she use mine but because she gamblesm ore than I do, she gets the better deals in the mail. I can still use the deals that are sent to her because I'm part of the linked acct.

Thanks for the advice all. Sounds like having a card each and linking them is the way forward.
