Port arrival time

Usually, yes. Occasionally boarding is delayed for some reason, but most of the time you can show up earlier than your assigned boarding time. You may have to sit and wait for your group to be called but at least you can drop off your luggage and get checked in.

Yes, you can get to the terminal early. I'd wait until at least 10 am though as the passengers from the previous cruise will still be in the terminal before then. Also, be aware that there is nothing to do in the terminal building until they actually start boarding.

this one was a big difference for us- there was no advantage of getting there or getting on the ship early. We left out of Galveston on LOS and we were on the ship after all the special suites, statuses, etc. And then once one, the pools and such were not open until after we were into out rooms. We had always did DCL and did the earliest PAT and enjoyed pools and slides early but that was not our experience in 4/2019. HTH

Might depend on the ship. Haven't had an issue with food or pools on Allure/Harmony/Independence out of Port Everglades.

I will say that Allure and Harmony seemed to have a longer wait to get on board. Which makes sense, given how many people can travel on the ship. Indy there was no waiting time at all.

Also, once you get an assigned boarding time after check in, you can safely ignore it as they'll let you board whenever you get there.
