Room suggestion at VGC

Just got our reservation at VGC came through today - so excited.

This is our first DVC booking, first DL visit and also celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary. (We got married in WDW Polynesian in 2002).

We booked a studio at VGC and would like some advice from group here.

Which room should we requested and avoid? We would like to see some firework from the room if possible and close to the parks.

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

There is a ton of good information about room views etc. on this thread. We stayed in 4504 (which is a studio) in May and had a wonderful view of World of Color.

Have a great anniversary trip...we had our own anniversary trip in October for 2 nights. VGC is a great place to stay and celebrate!! I highly reccomend getting something to drink and relaxing by the fireplace in the evening.

The thread above poster gave you is the best resource. That being said:

Close to the parks - there's only one wing of villas at VGC, so all the rooms are just a hop and a skip to the parks (fastest way to the Grand Californian entrance into DCA is to cut through the pool). All villas are equi-distant to the parks. If you want to go to DL, you go through the lobby, then out to Downtown Disney. I find that if DCA is open its faster to use the side entrance than walk out that park into DL across the main pavilion (if there's no construction).

There aren't any rooms with a view of the fireworks as they face either Paradise Pier, Grizzly Peak, or the pool at GCH. (ie your views are hotel or DCA park, none face DL ... well maybe the Grizzly views might be able to catch it off the side and tops of the trees if you're standing on your balcony) The World of Color view is beautiful though.

Most people like to request either Park View, high floor or Paradise Pier view. We've lucked out and gotten Paradise Pier view twice and had the Mickey ferris wheel blinking us to sleep. Pics are in the VGC Owner's thread.
