Royal Car. ship 'Grandeur of the Seas' out of Baltimore - Help Needed

For Mrs U and I, we're sort of tired of the Caribbean now.

And flying to Florida, etc adds over a thousand $$ to the bill.

We were looking at New England/Canada--and sailing from Baltimore where we can easily drive and Park.

Unfortunately no Cruise Line will send a nice (or large) ship to Baltimore--which is probably why Grandeur is there!!!

That is NOT why there are not larger ships out of Baltimore. I really wish people wouldn't make stuff up. Any ship sailing from Baltimore has to be able to fit under the Key Bridge. Grandeur fits, other RCI classes DO NOT.

We've sailed on Grandeur 5 or so times and have two more booked in the next year and a half. Most who cruise on Grandeur love her. Check out Cruise Critic. While it's one of their older ships, it's still in good shape (ships have longer lifespans than people realize) and the crew is amazing. We're Diamond plus and have met so many great people on the ship-crew and cruisers.

Why not try something before bashing it?

We've also cruised out of NJ, which has a nice different ship - Anthem of the Seas. We just got back from cruising out of FL on Oasis. We enjoyed it, but miss the intimacy of Grandeur.

The Grandeur was our first cruise and the one we got married on and we loved it but that was also back in 1999. It’s obviously one of the older ships now.
