School Holidays 2006-2007

I don't know if this is going to be of any help to anyone but I've been doing a bit of research on school holidays in France and the UK to try and decide the best week for my next DLP visit. [Last time, I didn't check and found myself in the parks when both UK and French schools were on the half term break - it was heaving!]

So I thought I'd check this out more thoroughly

French holidays first

The Spring and Easter holidays vary from region to region in France it appears so what I have done is used the earliest date to start and the latest date as the end date [Clear as mud I'm sure! ]

Thanks Nik - DD started school this month so I'm now in the position of only being able to go during school holidays or risk the wrath of the Headmaster!

It was recently in the news that the government want to slash holiday prices during school holidays due to the number of Parents taking their children away during term time - does anyone know if this is just Spain/Florida type holidays or could this be extended to holidays like DLRP? Presumably it must be travel agents who would be reducing their costs and then getting compensated by the government? I've no idea how it is supposed to work!
