DS has been anxiously waiting for the release of the newest flight simulator, Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020. It released last night at midnight. The game uses Bing maps and has the entire world mapped, including every airport in the world. The beta release demos have been very impressive. The planes and many popular places have been rendered with incredible accuracy.

Naturally DS wanted to do something that would get you arrested in real life, low altitude flight over Bay Lake. Here are some pics I took of his monitor. As a reference, this is a 60 in, 4K monitor hooked to a PC. He has a full flight seat with Cessna 172 cockpit he sits in front of the monitor. I was standing next to him taking pics of the screen with my phone.

I know several of you are pilots. These may look familiar. (But hopefully not too familiar. :) )

This is supposed to be the beach at WL.

The castle doesn't render quite as well, but still impressive.

And one completely incorrect approach down the monorail line.

I’ve had a few low passes over the world in past 20 years, but not quite that low! My son wants to be a pilot, too, now... he would LOVE that set up!

That looks awesome. I was going to say i need to tell Bert to get on and check it out but i see he already liked your post.
